So! For this au, meet our main cast :3 And there's.. so many rambles under the cut
This au starts out with, well... two major divergences. First, Chosen and Dark don't become terrorists- they become thieves. Tend to break into companies- or pose as potential new employees and then, well, dip when they find something they want. And sometime after Alan makes Second... something goes wrong and pulls him into the Outernet. But he's not transformed into a stick- nor does he stay a human.. he's transformed purely into code. Very hard for him to think clearly, too many inputs at once.
…Until a company opposing Rocket Corp uh, finds him and captures him……Decides to try and use him for power, because he gives off a LOT. So for awhile he's basically their battery
…Until they drain too much.. and his form shrinks and some thought returns- sticks- those are sticks- and his form… contorts.. code shifting....And then he's a purple hollowhead.. doesn't remember being THAT thing.. confusing the company....But they try to act casual around him.. curious if he's sentient.. it's annoying to lose their battery but they still wanna study this- but the poor guys freaking out because to him it feels like he JUST got there
They manage to calm him down and there's no sign of.. that for awhile.. they even offer him a job- …Until about a month later, when he starts suddenly shaking.. gripping at his head while on the job and.. that comes out again.. freaking out.. So they drain it.. until it's him again
And they sorta figure out the intervals on draining him, and that he doesn't seem to remember, so they keep him around as an employee, answer his questions about the world(assuming he doesn't know because of being.. THAT thing, and he doesn't mention what he really is.) So he has no idea they're kinda.. using him as a power source.
Until eventually.. Dark and Chosen enter the picture.
..Abd they meet ol' Alan, who kinda intrigues em. That's another Hollowhead. While Alan is having a moment. And trying to not outwardly appear to be having a moment. Since he recognizes them.
Thankfully for him they assume his stuttery nervousness is just… his personality, given he tends to do that a lot around the place Amuses Dark a tiny bit, really. Like come on. Who stutters that much??
And they're intrigued about the whole place, mostly wanting tech.. but kinda befriend Alan- thinking either they can use him because he seems so nervous he might just give if they ask something, and also because they haven't seen any hollowheads besides themselves- and hearing of one other co-founder but they haven't hit Rocket Corp yet
Until they're there the day that… the 'creature' get's drained.. don't see Alan turn but.. haven't seen him all day.. watching through the windows into a large white room with a bunch of machines connected to the wall.. all draining purple energy from this large creature that is kept to the floor with odd rings around it's form.. as it cries out and thrashes..
..They don't make any connection to Alan.. but Dark get's excited. Sure, it'd be a bit hard to steal something that big, but.. it's CLEARLY getting smaller as it's drained.. so he drags Chosen away, ranting about how if they could steal that and keep it drained and at a smaller size- they might not have power problems EVER. And there's so much they could possibly learn studying it! Dark's practically giddy
So.. they ask around a bit.. learn that it get's drained from once a month.. learn the date.. and they prepare.

This is my 'The Outernet is actually the earth... and the heavens are basically the pc's, so actually realms where gods exist- or. You know. Humans... who aren't quite humans.'
So... there is no earth. Just the outernet and 'boxes' in the sky where cursors roam... as well as their controllers... who had deep within the systems of those pcs.
...Almost no stick has seen one... until Second, who after the cursor deletes the color gang, goes looking deep into the PC...
..and finds Noogai
Humans here are... sorta like... giant 'sticks' that can manipulate code... and also the pcs are their home. They can communicate with other humans through internet, although mostly are solitary, and don't leave their homes or show themselves to sticks.
Their cursor acts as both a way to interact in their PC with out leaving their hiding place, and as a mask for their faces...
They have a name they give others, and then a TRUE name... which they almost never give out...
...Until Noogai ended up eventually befriending Second and the Color Gang... and entrusted them with his true name.
ok here me out-
kid alan au x sitpw au
imagine the chaos
OKAY BEFORE THE CHAOS... THIS IS SO COOL I LOVE IT-
But yeah... there'd be SO much chaos here... Alan didn't expect to suddenly find the sticks outside his computer! He didn't know that was possible! And while that's kinda cool, he stopped playing with sticks because the last ones bricked his computer...
...But these ones are outside it- so he still ends up kinda jarring them, but is more curious then panicked, staring with wide eyes. How did this happen? They're... outside! And physical! He can poke them! Although he's avoiding doing that-
...And then eventually... he realizes they can write. And sorta... talk almost. Talk! Like people do!
....He didn't know sticks could think... or talk.. is that just these five, or...?
...He'd rather not think about that! Instead, he eventually get's five lil friends! Who he might be trying to hide from his parents since everytime he's brought up sticks being alive they haven't believed him... but he can set up a place for them in his room! And maybe bring them places and show them things! Or hide them in his pockets or a scarf or something and show them his school!
Hey y'all! Merry christmas! And to those who don't celebrate, just hope you're having a good day!
And uh.. a little ramble under the cut.
It has been.. a few months now, since I started blogging about AvA and stuff. Since I started rambling about my au's, and just..
...I wanted to say thank you. All of you. From the bottom of my heart, like... just.. stars above. It's been so lovely, hearing all your thoughts. All your ideas. Seeing every doodle and every short story done about... about thoughts that I thought were silly and wouldn't go anywhere..
It's been... so amazing, getting to know y'all. Becoming friends with some of y'all... I just...
Thinking about Gold and the Prince of the Ocean Kingdom, who goes by Feather.
They're basically the fantasy equivalent of pen pals. King Mango figured Gold needed more friends his own age (before Purple) and he and the King of that kingdom arranged for the two to communicate over letter's, and sometimes meet in person- so they're rather close friends.
Although.. eventually Feather stopped messaging as much, and Gold learned later the reason was that the King of that kingdom had passed away, and Feather's other father was gone- leaving Feather as the new king at a young age...
So he was... suddenly very busy for a kid. He still did his best whenever he had time to message Gold though! He also tries to visit like his dad did to discuss trade agreements in person, and while King Mango is respectful, he doesss try to make sure Feather get's some time to play with Gold before he has to leave.
No kid should be shrouded with the weight of a kingdom at such a young age.. but Feather was.

There are lots of Mersticks in this au, which go into four categories
Seawater - Deep Sea and Upper Sea mers, which mostly have the lower half of. Well. Sea creatures.
Freshwater - Same with Sea Mers, but Freshwater creatures
Cave - Less specific creatures but can be, often bioluminescent to communicate with each other due to low to no light
Nether - Lava creatures! Could be lower half like striders, but other had little tendrils that act as biological snorkels and long flippers, with eye membranes to protect from lava. Very Heat Resistant but can barely leave the lava because even the Nether Air can be a bit too cold for their standards
Beyond Nether and Cave Mer, Freshwater and Seawater mer use sign language and have their own versions of it. Cave Mer as explained use bioluminescence, and Lava Mers use vibrations and underlava calls.
When magic began to die out, all Mers were hit hard, but cave mers and especially lava mers were hit harder.
Fun fact! Emma in this Au is half Mer.
The Nether
As mentioned a few times, the Nether Exists! It is basically an underground area that used to span a long, long way... but when magic began to die out, it shrunk to mostly be under the area where Destruction was sealed. And by big, I mean like... miles and miles. It was like a whole continent underground that was the Nether.
Herobrine is sort of... the 'Ruler' so to speak there. No one quite knows what he is. Fey? Eldritch? Some other kind of creature? Let alone now, where their name is only really legend...
The End
Similar to the Nether, The End also exists! Before the Sealing, it was more like the Aether. A land of sky islands that floated as high as mountains, lush and full of life. Sticks existed there, and many had different sorts of wings... along with other flying creatures that were all magical and in some cases viewed as Odd...
After the Sealing... the Magic holding up the islands began to fail and make mistakes... but instead of going down... they went Up. So high that there was little to no Oxygen, and few creatures can exist there in the Twilight...
Except for the rumored Dragon that prowls it's homes... creatures that some thing might have been sticks twisted when magic failed... and the old forgotten cities left to crumble...
Sticks
I've mentioned before the different categories that one must fall into to be considered a stick...
They reproduce by color, and thus... you know. No bits and bobs
2. They are almost always sapient or at least smarter
3. They almost always have 1 to 2 main colors and those are their 'flat' colors (not including their eyes. And being living there's always Lil details in it)
However, I've never really rambled about the different kinds of sticks! I mentioned Mers above, which are sticks that are kinda 'merged' with some underwater Creature... but there's also
Giants - Sticks that tended to mostly roam the mountains, going from 20 ft to 50 ft tall, they were huge. It was said they used to carve mountains into homes, and use giant redwood trees to carve into weapons, hunting dragons for meals... or perhaps other large creatures. They were sapient, and could often be traded with for different metals, and other things... however when magic began to die out they became very reclusive... there was already not many, but now there's even fewer
Celestials - The Sticks of the Sky! Often coming from the End Islands, they had beautiful wings of many colors... sometimes feathers, sometimes silken, sometimes almost like energy flows, they were rare to see outside of their home, or outside of the skies. They were often known for being rather friendly though... but now... none have been seen in a very, very long time.
FullHeads - Sticks with a 'hollowhead' that has color inside. The most common besides the more average sticks like Red or Green
Nether - Sticks practically made of Magma, they were hot to the touch, and could burn others that weren't magma sticks on contact. Not often seen outside of the Nether or Deserts, as while they can exist in temperate climates, there was risk of burning things, and also risk of if they did freeze they would turn to stone... died out quickly when magic began to die out, many in fact turning to stone
Stickbugs - What is says on the tin. Sticks! With bug features! Often found more in deserts or tropical climates, these were sticks with more chitinous skin and sometimes more then the average set of eyes
Arctic - Sticks that are... much fluffier then the average. Known for having coats of colored fur and tails, they are more found in mountainous or colder regions of the world
Constructs - Not fully sticks, but sticklike. Made of metal and stone bones with artificial flesh, they look exactly like sticks, but often don't fully have thoughts and emotions... and how to tell a stick from a construct is joints where the bones meet, and a gem somewhere in their skin
Leech Sticks - Magic eaters, they are kind of like Vampires... except instead of teeth, they have a 'tongue'... that's really a proboscis that they stick into that which they want to feast from... and drink on the magic within- while not really able to consume much other food with out throwing up. Were already rather rare... but when magic began dying out, they became practically unheard of...
HollowHeads - There's only a 5 really known to exist... being Alan's family... however like that effect where people think something has always been one way but it hasn't, people just think hollowheads have always existed. Or perhaps they have... just none have lived long enough to tell the tale, or were lost to time like many of the others
Dragons
Just as sapient as sticks, these are creatures of Magic. In the days before the Sealing, they could cast spells and other magics... however, as magic began to die out, their species adapted to survive to the point that all their magic went into their breath, whether it was healing, fire, etc. They also come in many forms, for example:
Nether Dragons - Dragons that were practically made of magma... although not fully. But they were very warm and very destructive if they wished to be. Normally stayed to the Nether and their lava lakes that they had deemed home
End Dragons - Also known as dragons of the stars, or dragons of the air, these dragons breathed out light that some would claim was as bright as the sun... although now there's only one, and their breath isn't quite so bright
Nowadays in canon they tend to just be referred to as dragons, whether they're feathery, scaly, or even have fur... but they are still very sapient
Kingdom of Drakarn (Mango's Kingdom)
Random Fun Fact - Mango's family line are all distantly related to a Nether Dragon! It's not really evident in Mango and Gold, but they run warmer then most sticks... in Tangerine however, he had horns and had a few tiny scales here and there
It's also saddly often looked down upon even in current times, simply for their past. Some kingdoms have forgotten... others are still angry at losing magic... and some just don't like them for harboring dragons.
Their mascot used to be the Phoenix, seen upon the Crest, but overtime it has changed to be a dragon
Been sick so I haven't had much chance to write my ideas... but I offer some silly Fantasy Au stuff
-
Like how there's lizards, mammals, etc... Sticks are part of a group as well.
They're called 'colors', because there's three things that they have.
They reproduce by color, and thus... you know. No bits and bobs
2. They are almost always sapient or at least smarter
3. They almost always have 1 to 2 main colors and those are their 'flat' colors (not including their eyes. And being living there's always Lil details in it)
This group includes mers, giants, and other kinds of sticks including the ones mostly seen.

I came up with a new creature, the Stellaros. Basically a gliding snake that camouflages like the night sky, and glides for 95% of it's life.
The Solar Festival has a 'mascot' that is the Phoenix, and the Lunar Festivals is the Stellaros... and banners are shown around. The Solar Festivals main colors are Red, Yellow, and Orange. While the Lunar's is purple, white, and blue. Also on the banners, the Solar Festival's is a sun with a Phoenix behind the sun, wings partially coming out behind to be over it, with the head coming from behind. Then there's the Lunar's, which is with the Stellaros partially wrapped around the moon
Will try to draw them eventually but... we'll see x3
Also more just me pondering but. Stars. Puts Artanis in AvA. Puts Artanis in AvA. Puts Artanis in AvA. Learning your entire world is just a game. Learning it just repeats. Learning everything you did never really mattered. Learning that everyone you cared about dying was fated to happen and continuously happens. Learning you being forced into a role of leadership was fated. Learning the God who hated everything isn't even truly a God.
Learning that the humans you saw as friends are actually just fake versions of real ones who act like Gods to your world, controlling you and others in certain moments. Learning you are nothing more then a speck of Code.
And then having to deal with these energetic things called 'Sticks' who are kind of like you, and yet more real then you were before. But now you're Aware. And this Human God doesn't know what to do with you. And you don't know what to do with yourself.
...But perhaps you can help these 'sticks' in their training fights. It wasn't real, but you still know how to fight.. you can help them learn more.
