1. Book you've reread the most times?

Ah man i think based on how often i replayed the audiobooks as a kid it's probably Battle of the Labyrinth? Or maybe Son of Neptune? Like jesse bernstien and me go way back to my parents teaching me how to rip the library audiobook CDs

3. What is your favorite genre?

Fantasy. Shouldnt be a shocker here. I love a little journey i love a little quest i love having to use menial tools and slow things down. Also magic and swords.

19. Most disliked popular books?

Ok no one come at me for this bht i have tried to read gideon the ninth three times and i never make it past page 100. It just. Makes me very angry idk.

I also hate the heated rivalry series and all of these hockey romcoms. Hockey is something very big in my real life and i promise its mostly spitting and swearing. Fun but not exactly cute or sexy.

20. What are things you look for in a book?

Hmm this is hard... i think i look for books woth well written and nuanced characters, and books that have well thought out plots. Like i saw some meta post about fitzchivalry and thats when i finally went "wow if yall can write that much about blorbo bingus maybe i should see what he's about".

3. what are you looking forward to right now?

Looking forward to the new year and hoping that things will be better, both in general and for me specifically. 2025's been pretty rough health-wise for me, but I'm starting to get on an upward slope again so I'm looking forward to getting better

5. What's your drink of choice? (Coffee/tea order, alcohol of choice, pop, etc)

Most of the time I just drink plain water, and lots of it. However, when I do grab a more special drink, it's gotta be either a nice green tea or something like root beer or ginger ale

8. favorite month of the year and why?

I might be biased because of my birthday, but I'm particularly fond of November. I just love that fall weather as it starts to move into winter

5. What genre did you read the most of?

fantasy by a long shot lmao. in past years scifi has come close to stealing first place, but I guess I just wasn't much in the mood this year!

9. Did you get into any new genres?

hmm, not particularly. Some of the nonfiction I read this year was on some new subjects; I read a couple about cults, and one about post-war/pre-9/11 Afghanistan, which were all very good! and I read a handful of romances, which I don't usually do. Oh, and I read a couple of eldritch-ish books as well, which is a genre I have very little experience in!

That's actually something I think I want to make a goal for this coming year- picking a new genre and reading a handful of books for it, or a handful of new genres and reading at least one book each. idk yet though!

11. What was your favorite book that has been out for a while, but you just now read?

The Goblin Emperor <33333333333 It came out in 2014 but it wasn't on my radar until last year when I saw a couple people posting about it, so thank you to all the active fandom people!! I read several older ones, but that was my favourite

12. Any books that disappointed you?

The Black Prism by Brent Weeks 😐 It's been one of those darlings of high fantasy for ages and I've never heard anything bad about it, and then I finally pick it up and it's some of the worst writing, barely-coherent world building, and infuriating characterization I've ever read. Truly the only reason I didn't dnf is because I had literally just dnf-ed another Tome and didn't want to do it twice in a row lmao
