You may have already heard that last month (Saturday 7th March) in the early afternoon, in the blink of a bot, I lost all contact with approximately 8,453 friends and followers, including my easiest way of messaging my godchildren and friends from my own childhood and university days, as well as more recent friends and many of my customers. I’ve still not got any of it back and it’s almost a month now. It may be permanent. I have no way of knowing. I’ve asked experts on social media and other artists, and they can’t see that I’ve done anything to deserve this. And I’m not alone. The BBC has been reporting on similar losses:

I won’t say how it’s made me feel, but I will say I’ve no intention of letting it destroy me, or my business as an artist. I’m not a quitter. Those who’ve known me a while, through my blood cancer, five broken vertebrae, training to walk again on a treadmill in our garage and then losing around 80% of my immune system permanently, well, you know how I pick myself up and dust myself off again!

I’ve looked at what I could do, rather than just what I’ve lost, and I’ve decided to set myself up with a website on the “pixels” site at Fine Art America, to reach out to more people. Don’t be fooled by the name. Anyone can access and use the website, across the globe!
