YES YES YES ive been thinking that choosing parrot is wifies way of going back to the factory bc he’s just there to help, to solve puzzles for him. ofc kenwato would probably be closer to him than parrot, but with them there’s no need to be ‘useful’ and that’s the only way wifies can tell if he’s making the right decisions

eyes of ender always guide to the ender portal— guide to home. maybe that's why he can never help himself; he finds home in people and can never keep himself away from them.
I like to think that the reason clonefies would've been designed with eyes of ender (or a locator system in general (dogfies)) was a fail-safe in case a clone wandered off the victory platform (or out of the factory), it was originally just like a leash to make sure none of them got lost, but with our escaped clonefies, everytime hes on a new server/world it resets and goes to the first thing or person he finds a home in - in unstable its parrot, in the first world he went to after escaping it was ken (saiint fic reference...), theres probably another world where it's wato :(
i miss watfies Connie. i miss them a lot. wato being a wolf and wifies being a dog is so important to me. wifies is domesticated where wato is wilder. sweet canidaes who shouldn't be separated. :(.

yeah though wifies is just a version of wato that’s been trained to bite his tongue. when they’re together wato feels a bit more grounded and wifies feels a bit more free :((
