15. favorite book you read as a school assignment?

Hmmmmm.... not many of my characters go/went to school. I think Osfyr still fondly remembers their first magic book– the first time they went oh! This could be something!

18. ideal weather?

I Sam am simply a slut for thunderstorms, and that’s the whole theme for Sahov, but I’m gonna try and think of a character who likes each broad type of weather. Bly is great in a blizzard, she can hide and jump out of the snow and stab people! Zize likes the heat (ew) cause Lizard. Vinny I feel like would love sort of “hurricane core”? Like, not in actual danger, but POURING rain, still warm out, lots of wind. Pointy enjoys fall SO much– downside of being fire resistant is she runs so hot all the time.

44. favorite scent for soap?

I feel like Havi really enjoys floral, perfumey scents. Not quite Bath and Body Works level of sweet, but up there. He smells fantastic all the time. Pointy, for the same reason of running hot, prefers mint shampoo.

94. favorite season?

Winter: Bly, Topaz, Allie/Remi

Spring: Vinny, Sahov, Ner

Summer: Havi, Zize, Guy

Fall: Pointy, Cap, Osfyr

96. desktop background?

hmmm... I answered one about phone backgrounds Somewhere but desktop backgrounds has different vibes. I don’t get strong vibes off any of my lads except that Cap is fully a boomer and would have the generic one forever. I’ll also roll for one more– Sahov’s is an aesthetic picture of their ship. Or rather, it looks like their ship,  but it’s a similar stock photo with the name edited off.

15. ♥ Do they enjoy talking to their partners before going to sleep or is it straight to dreamland?

So I answered this for Osfyr, who’s very much like me in that regard.... I’ll pick a few who are Not like me at all. Vinny falls asleep way too fast for that bullshit. You can try, but you’ll get an earful of Snoring Orc, or Snorc, within five minutes. Zize will actively shut that down. Yes, they’d stay up all night with a partner in their workshop, working and infodumping and shooting the shit, but when he’s sleeping he’s Sleeping. shut Up. Sahov is also very pragmatic and used to sailing ship sleep patterns where Every Minute Counts.

 18. ♥ Do they have a ‘type’?

6. Do they collect anything/have a collection?

Sahov collects– and I cannot say this in a way you won’t laugh at– knots. What I mean by that is, he’s in charge of teaching new crew how to tie knots and ensuring their skills stay up to standard. It’s important on a ship! They keep the first knot each of them ever tied, to remind them that everyone has to grow from somewhere.

Allie collects interesting twigs and leaves. She has a little fancy display case in her bedroom, that she had court wizards imbue with preservative magic.

12. Your character has the opportunity to have one wish granted. Would the wish only benefit them, someone else (one person or multiple), or everyone? And what would that wish be?

Cap is Just A Lady, honestly. She’d wish she could teleport anywhere, at will and accurately, so she could switch between Adventure and Homebody whenever she wanted.

This is a big question for a character I barely know. At this point, I think Allie would wish for whatever curse that plagues the Shadar-Kai to be removed, so they can feel all their emotions again. (For those who don’t Know: in her world, she’s Shadowfell royalty, and the Shadar-Kai were cursed generations ago– they don’t really feel negative emotions anymore (that way they’re easier to rule over), and the royal family bears all of them. Allie got rage, which is why she’s a barbarian.

18. Does your character believe the ends justify the means? No matter who they have to step on to reach their goals?

Zize: definitively not. MFU strikes me as sort of a pseudo-philanthropist organization. He’s not opposed to collateral damage, but it’s practically muscle memory at this point to at least spell out pros and cons and costs, and pick the less destructive way. This has been especially important as they’ve become more public figures than private individuals.

Allie is next in line for the throne of [whatever the court is called that rules the Shadowfell]. She’s had it drilled into her from a young age that Ruling By All Means Necessary is a way of life. She’s lawful NEUTRAL for a reason.

24. Does magic exist in your character’s world, and can they use it? If so, how does it work?

this is D&D. Bly is a druid, Allie is a barbarian on a non magical path. Bly’s comes from her shield.

30. Does your character have a family? If so, do they get along well with them?

Topaz doesn’t really have one. He just sorta grew out of the ground. 

Allie has a large, important family, and she gets along with most of them pretty  well considering how she’s Magically Full Of Rage At Most Times. Internalize that shit, yo. She does have a particularly close relationship with her younger brother, aka Lex’s As Yet Unnamed Wizard, enough that they travel together. So that’s cool.

36. Tattoos. Do they have any? Do they want any?

Since I don’t expect to have to use it, I’m giving Ner a very cool tattoo– a magical compass on his bicep that actually moves. He’s chill with just having that, honestly.

Allie has a bunch! I sketched her and she has a rose on one shoulder and vines curling down her other arm. She probably has one for each member of her family, I just haven’t decided what yet.

42. From where or from what do they originate?

Topaz grew out of the ground from a pocket of energy left behind when someone Plane Shifted to the earth elemental plane.

Allie is from the shadowfell! She was just kinda. Born there.

48. Do they have any health conditions?

Osfyr has some lasting injuries from adventuring, including probably some tender/photosentitive skin from a few horrific dragon breaths.

Allie is pretty healthy, but I feel like she has to train and stretch constantly to not destroy her shoulders/arms swinging that huge hammer around.

you just want to hear about zize I know you

I’m going with approximate locations on the  list because Bly is still a child. Cap never had pets much as a kid, so when her hawk turned up, “attracted by the smell of incense” (it’s a familiar), she wasn’t sure what to do at first. But it’s very affectionate,  and she soon realized its combat utility– she makes it little boxes to hang around its neck and dump them on enemies (that’s how I flavor the dragon’s breath spell). She’s not aware that the hawk isn’t particularly normal. It’s also the only animal she likes, ever.

Sahov will insult you for Anything and Everything, they’re not picky– unless you’re part of their crew. Then he’ll destroy anyone who insults you.
