Okay so just to get it out of the way the negatives about this quest are pretty apparent… I mean a mondstat quest with almost no mondstat character voice is pretty disappointing. The strikes and sag movements are pretty devastating but that’s something I’ll delve a bit more into in another post. I mean the storyline is impeccable and ,while I do personally think the story was a bit rushed, the plot was pretty solid! The new characters (which for some reason has a southern American accent ) seems….okay? I don’t really know what to feel about him but let’s what happens later in the story. Venti’s lack of voice disappointed me the most tbh, but it was cool to see more lore about durin, the hexeenzirkel and their personalities, dragonspine all sorts of stuff! and I’m pretty sure people ( *cough* @godofmystory *cough*) were pretty excited about a long awaited ragbros interactions. But my GOD the ending cutscene had my jaw drop! Absolutely insane visuals with a great soundtrack to pair…..it almost makes the lack of voices kinda bearable. Overall the fight scene and the new boss are pretty good. The designs are great and soundtrack is pretty cool……I just didn’t have fun because of the freeze mechanic and since Kaeya is the only “reliable” cryo guy I have….lets just say that Lisa had to go through many revivals. Varka was an amazing experience honestly like I’m was not expecting that voice of his but it a welcome surprise nevertheless. Overall this patch was just a breath of fresh air but that is to expected from mondstat. I can’t wait for the extra hundred albedo x traveler fics as shippers are finally given the crumbs they have been waiting for.
