In the village Sagri on Naxos, visitors can see the impressive church of Agios Nikolaos. 

This is a single-aisle dome church whose interior is covered by frescoes dating back to the 11th and 13th century, depicting the birth and baptism of Jesus Christ.

The ancient sanctuary of Apollo and Demeter is located south of the village Sagri on Naxos Island.

The monumental marble temple was built in the late 6th century and was dedicated to the earth deities Apollo, Demeter and Kore, related to fertility and the growth of vegetation.During the paleo-Christian period (5th-6th century AD), the temple was converted into a basilica.Restoration work has been carried out at the temple. 

The most important finds from the excavations carried out are housed in the building of the Museum Collection very near the site.

Located at a fertile plateau of  Naxos, Sagri is an interesting village with superb architecture. Highlights of this village include the impressive former monastery of Agios Eleftherios, the Folklore Museum and the restored Paleologos Tower, dating back to 1699.

The small village Sagri of Naxos is located on a fertile plateau on the western part of the island and is well-known for its superb traditional architecture.

The village is divided in two settlements Ano (Upper) and Kato (Lower) Sagri. Very close to the village is located the restored ancient temple of Apollo and Demeter. In the village you can also visit the folklore museum and byzantine churches.

Στην περιοχή Γύρουλας στο χωριό Σαγκρί της Νάξου, οικοδομήθηκε τον 6ο αι. π.Χ. μαρμάρινος ναός αφιερωμένος στον Απόλλωνα, τη Δήμητρα και την Κόρη.

Ο αρχαίος ναός έχει αναστηλωθεί ενώ εκθέματα και ευρήματα της ανασκαφής μπορείτε να δείτε στο κτήριο της Μουσειακής Συλλογής, μερικά μέτρα από τον αρχαιολογικό χώρο.

Το χωριό Σαγκρί είναι ένα από τα πιο όμορφα της Νάξου.

Αποτελείται από το Άνω και Κάτω Σαγκρί, που είναι διατηρητέος οικισμός, γνωστός για την καταπληκτική αρχιτεκτονική του. 

Στα αξιοθέατα του οικισμού περιλαμβάνονται το εντυπωσιακό πρώην μοναστήρι του Αγίου Ελευθερίου, τα ερείπια δυο ενετικών πύργων και βυζαντινές εκκλησίες της περιοχής.
