Of wanting what will never be,

Of careful words and sympathy.

Of chance and luck and bitter teeth, grinding words I cease to speak.

Of wandering hearts and soft caress, the straining brow and lips confess.

Of wanting what seems hopeless lost, love and fear and lines we crossed.

Of beds and hearts since empty lie, the will and strength, the gall to try.

Of innocence and hopeful word, giving light to ceaseless night.

Of missing thee, pathetically.
