I am seriously in love with your blog, I only just found it and I comprehend its beauty. I'm travelling to Tokyo alone in November, and I was wondering if you have any MUST-SEE places to visit? Hopefully I will be staying in the Shinjuku area. Have a great day! Your blog is fabulous.
Thanks so much~ (ノ゚▽゚)ノ
Must see places, well let's see.
I love Asakusa. It's so pretty especially at night when there's hardly anyone there. All the shops are closed but it's cool to go at night and during the day to see how different of a world it is. Get the fresh baked melon pan here it's so good.
Many gaijin like Harajuku. It's pretty cool to me. I guess it'd be a must see sight, just to cross it off your bucket list. It's almost always super crowded (well, better during the week ofc)
I prefer Omotesando though. It's the ritzy shopping district (as well as Ginza. Though I haven't really been here, so I can't say much about Ginza.)
And I loved Odaiba too. An absolute blast. You should check out some of the, what are they called, speed driving, or whatever videos that go through Odaiba, it's beautiful, right on the bay.
Sky Tree is pretty cool too. Kinda the new hot spot if you want a good view of the city. I didn't get to go up because it was cloudy :(
Many people who like anime and gaming and all that stuff like Akihabara. It's pretty cool. In my opinion, there's not many places to go unless you want to buy some technology (camera, game, whatever). Or have interest in going to a maid cafe, but they're hella expensive.Â
And if you're with some friends and 20+, Roppongi (near Tokyo Tower) is a good district, a little sketchy (I mean Tokyo doesn't get that sketchy but sketchy for Tokyo if ya know what I mean). But some Japanese friends of mine went here for my birthday to a British pub and it was awesome. Met some guys from America and Canada who were on holiday from teaching in Korea.
Ameyoko in Ueno is cool. (does it classify as a shotengai? idk. it's cool). If you like shopping (: I don't remember it much because I didn't take many pictures but at one end you come out near Ueno Park/Zoo.
Have fun!! Hope this covers it. If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask!!!!
