Sometimes her memories, although she’s unsure if she could really call them that, of the Lifestream were a little hazy yet mostly clear. There is one thing of course, that remains crystal and it’s the visage she sees before her now, stark even among the sea of people. Sky blue meets emerald green and for a split second everything around her freezes and it’s just them. SOLDIER First Class, confident and bright as she always remembered, as if their unfortunate circumstances never occurred. “Zack,” she finally speaks as hands clasp behind her back, a mannerism she still held even to this day. And though this isn’t their first reunion there’s still a whirlwind of feelings, mostly sad, yet she pushes herself and presents a smile.
“You’re late again,” an almost playful tone to her voice, a jest to hide the sorrow. But not all is shadowed, he’s alive and seemingly well and she hopes happy as that is all she’d wish for him. Even back then, when perhaps she knew he’d returned to the Planet, a part of her found it easier to believe he was alive and happy somewhere, than to accept he was gone before she got to spend more time with him. “You shouldn’t keep a girl waiting you know,” a gentle nod of her head follows, because she knows he suffered and the important thing was he was here now, for how long she can’t say, but she would treasure it.
