Photos from my #InterStim phase II permanent implant surgery, Friday, February 19th. They told me to be there at 5:30 am. I was early like many other patients. We had to wait in the foyer or outside in the damp cold until they opened the doors to screen us before entering the building. Waiting outside in the cold away from the crowded foyer, and having to find a chair for someone who was using a cane and the wall to hold her up, was my only disappointment. Thankful for the opportunity to have improvements to make living this way a little more bearable. Pleased with the way that Emory hospital staff treated me. My urogynecologic surgeon, Dr. Jessica Hammett, was excellent. Surgery went well. I am home resting.
