I loved the sympathid concept so much, the constant guessing of what is real and not real was so fun
Bad thoughts
Very curious if today's episode will return the status quo or it will have some mention of last week's episode. I'm sure everyone's dying to know. (I doubt it but maybe I'll be wrong)
My latest inventions: rick oyajitchi & young morty oyajitchi
Maybe if you took better care of them, they wouldn't have ended up like that
So, yeah. I have a feeling Morty is still missing his empathy center. You would've expected Rick to have grown it back by now, right? Especially the with the way Morty had been mouthing off (good for him).
But... remember the end of the last episode?
"Morty... truth is, maybe you shouldn't empathize with me. Putting this thing in your head made you ignore my behavior, but being cruel is a danger signal and you need to heed those red flags so you don't get hurt."
What if that was Rick's actual feelings on the matter, and that even without the Sympathid, he thinks Morty's empathy was better off gone in order to protect him? Of course, it's another lazy solution to his inability have healthy relationships, but still wanting something 'better' for Morty by putting all the responsibility and change on him.
Morty using empathy bugs being metaphor for addiction. Morty noticed how easier reality is to handle when he use bugs to the point of addiction and not being able to function without them and emphatize as easy as usually because how they affected him afterwards. The saddest part is propably the fact Rick was right the genetic deasise of addiction is in Morty too.
I love how quickly Rick regretted after yelling at Morty because he know he touched sensitive spot here and he knew Morty is very insecure about possibility of being just a bait. Its kinda simmiliar how he apoligized to Summer in "Wong air force" after he lash out at her for no reason. But i still thing Morty calling Rick out for having dead wife was very much deserved i hoped it hurted him and felt like punch into his dumb old heart.
The thing i don't love about Rick is how he forced him into emphatazing with him its such unhealthy thing to teach teenage insecure boy. He basically teaching him how he suppost forget he's shitty behavior and justify it. But im happy he admitten he isn't suppost to do it at the end of ep.

MY BOY JUST WANTED TO HANG OUT WITH HIS GRANDPA AND BUY POKEMON CARDS HE DONT DESERVE TO GET YELL AT.
Serial killer slowly getting more scared of Jerry as episode progress because he keep making shit up was funny as hell. Especially when he call Police. Summer and Jerry duo was really funny to watch too we don't get them enough working together.
In new episode we repeat again what we are been told since Pickle Rick episode we shouldn't justify every Rick action cause he's shitty person who verbally abuse his grandson. And Empathy being main theme of this episode really help emphataize that. Even subplot with Jerry and Summer is about empathy because Jerry empathy towards kidnapped girl drive them to doing what they do and whole conflict get resolved with Morty empatazing with serial killer.
