i JUST the realisation that maybe marinette cant say i love you back to him because of her feelings for adrien and then she says,
"It's because I'm Ladybug! That's it! I'm petrified at the thought of doing something careless again and losing my miraculous because I won't be focused on my mission!"
thats my GIRL right there. i knew there was some deeper meaning to her struggling to confess her feelings, not just her usual quirkiness.
also i dont love how alya just told her to "stop!" instead of being like oh i get u girl. "i wont accept your excuses anymore" marinette just figured out what shes feeling and confessed her deepest fears to you, so dont take this lightly tf. it also explains why she switched to cat noir for a while.
