#s3 trailers

1) It wasn’t JUST Lilith. Honestly, I know she’s gonna be the big bad this season, but I didn’t care about her in the books and I don’t care about her here and  I REALLY don’t want the show to go where the books did with her storyline, because we got enough “women being tricked/forced to carry demon babies” with Iris Rouse in 2x05. You can blame X-Files if you want, but since, like, 1997 I’ve been pretty much done for life with medical/alien/demonic rape/impregnation plotlines. Rosemary got her tubes tied, move along.

2) SIMON! I’m VERY excited for Simon’s story this season. I’m also very curious as to why they’ve made a particular change in his plotline. Like why is the Seelie Queen the one giving him that Plot Device instead of Clary?

3) We got half a second of battle-couple Malec

4) At least we SAW Maia in this one, even if it was footage we’d already seen in the NYCC trailer.

Things I didn’t like about both of them:

a) not enough Alec/Izzy/Maia/Luke. Good-ish amount of Magnus, though, so that’s definitely one for the “plus” column.

b) not enough Malec, obvs

c) did I mention my utter disinterest in the Lilith plotline?

d) no Lorenzo Rey. I would really rather know what’s going on there.
