Final season 2 interview, this time featuring the one and only Hajime Isayama!
English version of the Hiroyuki Sawano in interview is up!
I think the next and last interview would be of hajime isayama himself. Who else important is left ? We have gotten the opinions and views of all the main staff . Yuki kaji covers for all the voice actors . Isayama is the only one left who would make sense. Besides, season 2 is going to be big and now is his time to talk about it before it airs.
I was thinking the same. Originally I suspected Ishikawa Yui would do the 4th interview (but secretly hoping we’d get Sawano), and I was pleasantly surprised. Isa definitely needs to be interviewed, and him being the last one is pretty fitting anyway. And yeah, all main domains have already pretty much been covered, so bring on the original creator! (and considering how involved he is with the series it’s even more appropriate)
Aniplus has uploaded their English subtitled version of the Koizuka Masashi interview, which should be accessible for all regions! Enjoy

Koizuka Masashi Interview
Since I can’t upload the full interview yet, here are the main points
-The decision to have Araki as general director and Koizuka as series director was made fairly early on.
-Araki’s role as general manager basically still makes him the main creative force--he’s basically the one who turns the manga into the visual anime format, creates the dramatic framework, script, sound design...he’s still the main dude in that regard
-Koizuka is more involved with the technical aspects--directing the studio, taking care of the art production etc; meaning his input is a bit more technical than creative, making it easier for Araki to make those decisions.
-The atmosphere is energetic and enthusiastic, facilitating the work.
-The team seems to have utmost respect for the manga, and Araki in particular hopes to do do it justice in animated format.
-Attack on Titan production has apparently never ceased, they have been actively working on Season 2 since 2013, working on script and art. That said, animation techniques have improved over the years which allowed the staff to create even more fascinating sequences than they imagined.
-When asked about the latest issue of the attack on titan manga (this was uploaded before ch 91, though it could refer to vol 21), Koizuka talked about how locations of future manga developments aren’t included in the S2 material (think of everything beyond the wall), but despite that the studio will try to foreshadow some of those future elements and plot points in S2 (think of the shots of RBA in episode 2, or Eren’s steaming head in EP 3).
-Koizuka tells the fans that everyone at WIT is working hard to create a series even more exhilarating and enjoyable than even the manga source material--they seem confident to be able to pull it off^^
