I love this addition. 😠I might hate playing Aether Raid, but this is the greatest.

I was out of the house most of yesterday, so I couldn't post about this here when it went up.
But, yup. I finally went ahead and made the mod that adjusts S-Ranks in The Unleashed Project to be more in line with the way everything worked in Sonic Unleashed. I acknowledge that the scores probably aren't perfect replications, but that's what happens when you play more by "feel" than absolute numbers. Not much can be done about that, as there isn't any logical way to translate one scoring system to another. If I get enough feedback that something is still too hard, I'll consider releasing a new version.
I've always come at the subject of the score ranking system like a game developer. Always, always. I try and put aside my own wants and needs and focus on what the audience would enjoy the most. That has always been the underlying desire for something like this. It is obviously important to quite a lot of people - on Youtube, I've gotten a disproportionately large number of comments for how many views the video itself has, and over a thousand people have visited the Moddb page since it was posted yesterday. Not blockbuster numbers, but enough to show that this is an important issue to some.
Important enough that a few people are also apparently not pleased that I've released the mod. If parts of the above video seem defensive, well, it's because this is a road I've already been down - and not just with the Unleashed Project, either. As always, difficulty balancing is a very subjective, very argumentative issue, and this is the first time I've ever really stood up and done something major about it.
