Just as she was leaving the restaurant with a single bag of the items she had ordered to go, the door swung open and quite literally, smacked her in the face. Pain shot across her face from the force concentrated on her nose, making the redhead lift her hands to her nose to assess the damage, her eyes tearing up at the harsh pain.
Curse doors that opened inwards! Could she slaughter the imbecile who had to push on the door so damned hard??
Feeling nothing out of place, the girl lowered her hands—the ache would subside within a minute. Yet, that didn't do anything to improve her mood, especially since her tranquil state was far beyond ruined and now she was open to the spirit's horrible dialogue once again today.
❝ Watch for people leaving the place next time, ❞ she coldly remarked as she walked by the taller man who was making his entry into the establishment. She didn't want to be stopped for a conversation as she wanted to get home and eat alone in peace.
However, the girl couldn't help but pause to humor such an idea when she realized her spirit companion hadn't bothered to feast on the unsuspecting soul she passed by, her feet stopping right out of range of the door's swing. How strange, but it wasn't the first time she encountered this. This person must be something special for it to hesitate like this. Glancing back at the man, she noticed he was staring back at her like a deer in headlights, ❝ I'm fine, but you look like you've seen a ghost or some anomaly. ❞
Time to see if he could perceive her companion's presence.
