I used to call them protoRanma and protoAkane xD cuz i watched Ranma and Inuyasha when i was a kid but UY i watched the new anime
People that only read Ranma and call Takahashi a tease don't know what it means to like Ryunobu
if you know anything about the author you already know from the start they're not gonna end up together, she can be based on many things but not on that
but boy she sure loved tingling those keys for 95% of the manga before introducing Inaba and Nagisa in the last 2 volumes
she thought she was sooooo funny
I already mentioned it in another post but just because Nagiryu is my UY OTP that doesn't mean I didn't find every Ryunobu tease peak and fell for it while fully aware the next page was gonna say "syke it was just a misunderstanding lmao"
it was just pure luck that Nagisa had too much blorbo energy for me to hate 'em (and Inaba is also there I guess whatever), once I realized they were gonna get "actual" love interests I was more than ready to dislike both
some people get really angry at folks that like Nagisa for that reason (among others that require missing the point of the character)
But I have the superior knowledge and reading comprehension to enjoy the two pairings
