Blinding Light
My house was fine, although, I had big wishes. More than most, were the things I possessed, Yet satisfaction, fictitious. My house had a roof, a quite nice one, A floor too, of oak. A couch, a tv, and a nice window, even a hanger, for the cloak. Yet as I looked around, I grieved, for I yearned for more. The TV taunts me with what could be, all there; all in store. The couch was tiresome because I, had never left it. I vexed the oaken floor; pestered it, Why? It hurt a bit. I had always watched the sun pass behind, 1 man in the window. I became struck by his attendance, there he was - aglow. Immediately I remembered the oaken pain, "Shall I stride?" Many suns passed behind this man, To somnolence, I abide. I awoke one night and looked around, lacking sleep utterly. The couch was too tiresome, The TV too taunting. Suddenly a wondrous thought took hold! "I cannot continue!" In the morn he was standing, 15 feet from me. I stood up through the aches, my feet bleeding badly. Every contraction manifests as grimace, my complexion - beastly. My vision poor and his look changing, his vestments - measly. I came to the window and began, in rivened speech: "Why do you stand out there each day?" He spoke only twice before his leave, my world - breached. "It's so very nice out here actually, come and join me." I was puzzled! For what could be out there for me or even he? "Now look back at your space, for the very first time. Do you really see now? your world is sublime." I turned now to see just that, I was astonished. My gaze returned to find, a world flourished. Mine eyes also revealed that, my previously thought inoperable window, has possessed a latch. My house is fantastic, because I had big wishes. More than most are the things I possess, now satisfaction - lazes. All because I turned what could be, into what is now. Feel free to ask questions or to tell me what you think about it, I love to hear about it.
