History: Ryan’s family never agreed with the idea of having angels as workers, and especially not as having them as pets. He grew up learning about what made the angels special, what made them different, not that they were lower than humans. He learned that many people thought that the angels should be enslaved, that they could only harm themselves and others if they were allowed their freedom. His parents were part of the movement to stop that. They wanted to ensure that everyone had equal rights. From an early age Ryan was friends with Angels. Whether it be the next-door neighbour's pet or the school's janitor. For this reason he was alienated from most of the humans in Eagle's Nest. They thought him weird for thinking that Humans and Angels could become friends. After the University of Colorado became desegregated, Ryan’s parents begged him to go there. So he did, he became one of the first human students to talk to the angels on campus, as well as founding UC’s chapter of the HAA, the Human-Angel Alliance. While being an activist is something he can be proud of, it does come with its share of misfortunes. Ryan knows that every step he takes in the pro-angel movement could very well be his last, especially in a town like Eagle’s Nest.  

Personality: Ryan is bright and bubbly when you first meet him, in fact he is like that all the time. This is mostly to hide the fact that he has watched the world go to shit and he hates it. He is usually the first person to talk to new people and try and make friends. Some people find this constant pep annoying but Ryan is oblivious to it. He isn't the type to let his anger out. He lets it bottle up until finally he snaps and you don't want to be around him when that happens. If someone hurts his friends or someone he cares about there will be death glares and hell to pay but five minutes later he will be back to his bubbly self.

RP Sample: Home is where the heart is… or at least that is what the carefully embroidered cushion that Logan’s mother had placed in his bedroom said. He couldn’t help but roll his eyes at the cheesy sentiment, knowing it was simply her way of saying that she missed him. Part of him had always wanted nothing more than to burn the pillow and the emotions that went with it but he could never bring himself to do it. So instead he threw it in the corner, pretending that he didn’t want to just go back to college.

It was inevitable. Logan had come here for one reason, to see his father, and now he was sitting outside wishing that he could just lie and say that nothing was wrong. He waited for the heavy mahogany doors to open. He stiffened, bracing himself for the worst. It seemed like a lifetime before the brunette heard a familiar voice asking him to enter and he did so, inhaling sharply as he stood. The room intimidated him more than anything else. The fact was that it symbolized everything that he had to live up to in order to finally please his father. Frank Gallo, a tall, muscular man with the slightest hint of grey flecking his stark hair, sat behind his desk, looking up at the boy. “What the fuck did you think you were doing, Logan?” the man said, his tone harsh and gruff. He moved swiftly to lean against the front of the desk, barely a foot away from his son. “I don’t know, Dad. I just… she was in trouble. I wanted to keep her safe.” He said softly, feeling like he was three feet tall. “You risked everything for a whore? Are you daft?” “She’s not a wh-” His protest was interrupted by a sharp slap that struck his cheek with such force that he couldn’t help but whimper at the sting. “You do not talk back to me.” The man growled, holding Logan up by his shirt, “Now, this is the last time I cover up for one of your mistakes. We do not protect whores, that is not our business.” Logan looked up, his lips pressed together. He tried to put up a brave facade against his father but it was hard, “Okay, fine. But tell that dumb-ass crony of yours that she is not his. If he so much as looks at her I will slit his throat. She is mine. Not his.” “Your poor choice in company reflects badly on business.” Frank said, shaking his head and dropping his son, “Fine, keep her but you step one toe out of line again and you will dispose of her. Understand?” Logan blinked and grimaced, knowing exactly what the man meant even if he didn’t want to. He took a breath and nodded slowly, “Yes, sir.” “Good. Now get out of my sight. I need to finish cleaning up the mess you made.” The man shooed his son out of the room with haste, practically kicking him out of the door.
