A part of her knew it was the fever messing with her head - making her see things. She had seen patients hallucinate terrible some terrible things. But she knew, it had to be him. She swore she thought she had seen someone standing in the doorway. 

When Eugene came back she felt better - as the hallucinations weren't as bad if someone was there. 

As he spoke, she nodded lightly, letting out a deep breath trying to calm herself down as much as she could. "I swear I saw one of the soldiers I treated last week." Kira spoke quietly, thinking of the man she wasn't able to save.

Bill had yelled at him for sprinting toward the dead Kraut’s body, looking for the damn Luger. Toye and Liebgott had called him stupid. Buck had looked at him disapprovingly whilst shaking his head when Toye and Bill informed him of what had happened. 

He’d rolled his eyes at them, knowing that they were right in giving him hell. He had been mere seconds away from losing his life, and it was all because of a souvenir he wanted to bring back home. He wouldn’t admit it though. He wanted it, and while hearing the bullets whiz over his head where one wrong movement could result in him getting hit between the eyes, it was exciting. 

As he sat on the back of a truck smoking, swinging his legs while he looked at the dark sky clouded with smoke caused by bombs, he glanced at Doc Roe. The redhead hadn’t heard him approach him. Boy, was he quiet, he thought as a small smile appeared.
