Rivetra Week Day 5: Undercover
“This is dumb.”
“Don't kid yourself, Levi. You know I know we both want to see who Leo is dating right now. Anyways,” Petra pauses to lean over and adjust his cap, “there, you look better.”
“I look the same as I did 3 seconds earlier.” He deadpans, eyes still keeping a look out for the arrival of their son's date behind some bushes. Though a face of disinterest, Levi is terribly curious about this entire fiasco. Just like his dad, Leo takes after Levi a whole lot; black hair, shifty eyes, sharp mouth. Good for him that he didn't inherit the lack of height; till date, Levi and Petra still doesn't know Leo managed to grow to an astounding 185 centimeters.
“Do I look suspicious yet cute at the same time?” Petra asks as she smothers the hair not covered by her own hat and adjusts her sunglasses.
Dutiful husband as always, he tells her they should go home and clean the house again. Petra smacks his shoulder playfully but Levi suspects she's sick of cleaning already, judging by the amount of strength she invested in that smack. “I'm just joking.” He grumbles, rubbing the spot unconsciously. “No but seriously, this is lame. We can always grill him when he gets back. Or you can always persuade him to bring the girl back for dinner or something.”
“But this is so much more fun! We can't see their true colours when we're in their presence.”
His wife has been taking lessons from Hanji, he sees. Sighing, he tugs her away from their hiding spot and to the nearest ice cream palour. “Instead of stalking their date, why not let's enjoy ours? It's been a long time since our last, yeah?”
Petra is surprised at the sudden change of plans – even though it was totally one-sided – but happily lets herself be nudged along; it has been a while and she would love to spend some quality alone time with her husband. “Okay!”
So, my weekend, Rock Werchter!
Apart from the extreme moodswings because of certain people, I had a great time at the festival. I went yesterday, on Sunday, mainly to see Muse and holy hell they were the perfect closure for the festival. I can't believe I actually saw them live while being surrounded by the people that I love. So many memories for me to cherish.
