Ok so it was confirmed a while back that the freelancers, reds and blues and so on arenāt Spartans. Primarily bc the generally did not have any of the same body augmentations as Spartans (as far as I know). Of course the show is restricted by the game engine, but that must still mean they technically arenāt wearing mjolnir armor. I imagine itās somewhere in between what odsts where (also what the Charon industry ppls wear in a bunch of flashbacks) and Spartan armor. Dunno what itād be called or if it matters but yea.
I know itās not an original thought or anything but Iād love to see the show have more connection to halo again... god knows zero didnāt do that at all but thatās thought for another day

What if the person who figures out about the ruined timeline is Caboose? What if the reason he figures it out is because Church is different toward him this time? Because Church is not only willing to be, but actually wants to be his best friend. And he won't tell anyone for a while, because Church is back. He's back and is finally his best friend. But eventually he says something. Because he knows what happened, even if it feels a bit like a dream. And he knows it was real. Knows that Church is truly dead, and it wouldn't be right to leave the timeline like it is. So he tells the others, who deny it. Of course they do. But Grif speaks up. He's had the same crazy dreams. Dreams where they're fighting not each other, but others. Freelancer and fake reds and blues. Government conspiracies and planet wars. Grif actually believes him. And maybe, just maybe that makes what Caboose does next a little easier. Still he can feel sadness well up in him and tighten his throat, making the words harder than they should probably be when he holds Church's hand-his best friend's hand-and tells him that he lets him go. The words resonate something inside Church, words said in a universe that no longer exists, and he shatters like an illusion. When the reds and blues finally find Agent Washington, Tucker still doesn't fully believe Caboose that this is all wrong. That doesn't stop him from putting his faith in Caboose when he shoots the Agent through the neck despite everything in him saying not to.
Look, itās not that I donātĀ believe what they said in the episode, but...
Iām still not 100% convinced that itās not a time machine.
All our physicist friend said for sure was that it was a Tunneling Device, but superpowered, and then says the interns are going to plug it into a supercomputer simulator, implying that they havenāt actually done it yet and donāt necessarily know exactly what the machine might do if it worked.
The charts about the location and the building on Earth are pretty convincing, but... it doesnāt really explain why Loco, who built it, said the machine made doors, specifically special doors that donāt necessarily go to places,Ā and seemed to think it could be used to somehow save Church when heād justĀ been told that Church is dead.
Specifically what he said isĀ āthe entire wormhole will resonate backwards.ā
So... I donāt know anything about actual quantum mechanics or quantum tunneling or what have you, but... I definitely know that wormholes are often used in scifi to cause time travel. Just saying. Ā Thereās a reason we all immediately jumped to the conclusion of Time Machine.
And, you know, Temple might be an overdramatic bastard but so far he hasnāt shown any indication that heās the type of person who actually thinks itās a great idea to tunnel through viscous rock, and going underground through the solid part of the Earth might... take... an awfully long time... (honestly even going straight through would probably take a long time)
Also, since Iām not really keeping track of the behind the scenes stuff, Iāll just ask: have they said whether this season is supposed to be a solo plot? Because RvB seasons have been kind of grouped in batches for storylines since it got plot heavy...
tl;dr Iām just saying that I wouldnāt be surprised to have the season end with them having to follow Temple back in time or something as a hook for next season
Of course I also wouldnāt be surprised to find that I am totally and completely wrong and it was all a Red Herring soĀ
but heās also set it up that using it destroys the world
BUT ITāS ALSO ALREADY ON
but we donāt have much left in the season
BUT WHY WOULD YOU GIVE US A WORKING TIME MACHINE AND THEN NOT DO ANYTHING FUN WITH IT
ah fuck, is this going to be a thing where we have to Resist using the time machine to save the people we care about because Itās The Right Thing To Do? I feel like thatās anticlimactic somehow.
When was the last time RvB gave us a Hilarious Overblown option and then had them notĀ take it becauseĀ āitās safer/better that wayā?

Guys, hear me out. Ā The Aiden Price remembers at the last second that there was an escape pod for the bridge crew of the Tarterus. Ā He (and maybe a merc or two) escape at the last second.
He disguises himself with a set of older armor, and gathers a group of easily manipulated survivors of the war, whom he can mold like clay.
Once his crew is ready, he sets upon his ultimate goal. Ā Destroying everything that caused him to end up where he is. Ā Heās killing off Project Freelancer both to avenge himself on the ones who were against him, orĀ āfailedā him.
And he might have even manipulated the UNSC in some way to get a hostile negotiator sent to Chorus.
But thatās why he commented that he was worried that Carolina might recognize his voice. Ā He was worried that she mightĀ āsee throughā his voice modulator.

Given the revelation of the true story of Church/Alpha and Private Jimmy, what does that imply about Tex? Yeah, it seems that during the Freelancer era Tex was probably an artificial body, but they buried BGC Tex without noticing it was a robot body. Does that mean that mean Beta was shoved in a human body? It would help explain why her own memories were messed up. And given The Director's obsession with Tex, I could seen him willing to hijack a human woman's body for her.
