I've been trying this podcast recently. Usually they do current events (politics and pop culture), but at the moment they're doing a series of videos on big topics, and this week they did an overview of political and economic systems. I'm no expert on politics, so I found it really informative (and engaging too). I'm sure many people who know more would have criticisms, but if you're like me it's worth a watch!

Ok so to conclude wicked posting for now, yes I finally* watched it last night (personal ramblings under the cut).
Other than what I already knew and still remembered from seeing the stage show a long time ago, somehow, I managed to stay spoiler free after all this ttime since the film came out!
I'm aware that it received some criticism for being sanitised and for the plot holes, but I loved it with my whole heart. Though I haven't read the book, so I think my enjoyment is part of that. My next wicked related project is to read the wizard of oz (deluxe edition) and then read wicked so that I can enjoy the story from the source.
So yeah, I loved it. Mostly for the gay-ness and the power of friendship. I'm not generally a big cryer, but I sobbed at the split screen 😭. Ariana and Cynthia have incredible chemistry.

Have any good comics to recommend? I'm reading Black Widow, Captain Marvel, Ms. Marvel and Elektra, but I would love to start on one or two more!
If we’re talking Marvel comics, that’s pretty much what I’m reading that’s new right now. I actually just caught up on Black Widow yesterday! I’ve had to scale back because I just can’t afford to buy everything that I want unfortunately!
Non-marvel-wise I’m reading Pretty Deadly, Sandman Overture, Sex Criminals, and Saga, and I love all of them to distraction. My next two to catch up on are Lumberjanes and Rat Queens. Admittedly, there’s nothing particularly off the beaten path about my pull list, but I love them all.
I’m really excited about the upcoming storm ongoing too. And I’m sure I’m making some egregious oversight and forgetting something, but I’m on vacation and my brain power is limited!
