But as for the last part, you know, I feel very contradicted. I’ve said to @aloemilk that more Harry Potter books could keep coming about the trio growing up after the war and it could be about the smallest things and I’d still read it, but... I’m not sure about that in reality. I think it’s a mix of things... first, because a lot of time has passed after the last book with us knowing that it was the last book, so while I for one appreciate any new info, at the same time you’ve already imagined a whole universe after the books. But I also think a lot of time has passed for JKR as well when she had some ideas of what her characters’ lives were like after DH, but not an idea for a book, so her perception and original ideas have changed, and that’s how we get stuff like last year’s interview where it seemed like she wasn’t the same person who wrote Ron Weasley. Basically, I think I’m a bit disenchanted and that puts me in a position where I’m both glad and terrified about the perspective of getting new information about certain things of the HP world.

I hope it is! None that I’ve thought of for now. Going there would be reimagining the whole series, and I’d kind of miss the point. We’re just going to have to pretend that Harry and Ron figured things out in their own right and time without Hermione’s helping hand! I will work with what happened during the war, though.

The silver lining is that SFoGI picks up after that last chapter or so, so it’s kind of as if the story continued there, only without the biscuit premise. I like that one too, The For and Against List, and He’s Leaving Home. I’m not really interested in Faultlines and the companion pieces to it, though.

Lavender gets a lot of hate, which is sad. All she did was go for a guy that was single. Did she probably know that Hermione had feelings for him? Likely. But those two weren’t friends, and Hermione had never been particularly kind to her. So, really, why should she wait around for something that might never happen? And yes, she was probably drawn to Ron for his success at Quidditch. She was sixteen, and it was thrilling. Most people that age are drawn to someone in a sport/in a band/stand out somehow. It doesn’t mean she didn’t care for him, and try to make things work. And I think that Lavender had a problem that lots of ‘pretty’ girls go through; that period where they feel as if that’s the only way they have any worth. And Lavender, like many, tried too hard. Baby talk, smothering with affection, gifts that were ‘romantic’ but not really what the other person would think of as special.....but is that really so awful? Annoying, maybe, but nothing she wouldn’t grow out of. Lavender may have had a shallow and silly period, but those that are truly shallow wouldn’t have stayed to fight like she did. Lavender’s only crime was being a teenager, and while her personality at the time might have grated on my (and others, I’m sure) nerves, I think that she was a good person who still had some growing to do.

This is marvellous. Except for the fact that I spent the past hour obsessively renaming each picture properly before uploading them.

Yes, that’s true: maybe the Silencing Spell doesn’t hold as strongly as it would have in any other circumstances, but it does work, as it says that “silence was forced upon them all“--and still, it’s a big deal that Ron is the first one who defies Voldemort, even when it could have earned him a Killing Curse! :)♥
