Alright, Sabikui Bisco goes on my ultimate all-time recommend list. It absolutely oozes with style, doesn’t lack for substance, and it knows exactly what it is and what it wants to do, and how it’s going to achieve that. It wears its inspirations on its sleeve and isn’t ashamed to be bombastically weird without winking at the audience to pardon itself or cringe. And it’s got genuinely endearing, well fleshed out protagonists with strong, fully realized arcs both as individuals and as a strongly textual M/M couple that carry the series with ease. Even then, every side character and villain even in some of the pacing episodes is vivid and textured and shines in their little spotlight. It’s a fantastic action-adventure anime with no shortage of excitement and bizarre events but with a twisted, grounded logic its to surreal world that never leaves you feeling cheated. 10/10 Must watch.
