Stephen cocks a brow at her and strides forward, tilting her chin up to look into her eyes. ❝ I haven't seen you in a whle. ❞  

A long while. Stephen isn't sure if he's particularly thrilled to see her or not — but here she is in all her glory, lace frills and stiletto heels. It isn't that he can't resist her; they simply never seemed to want to. So he takes a kiss, and another, and another and another until they fuse together and he can pull her close, tugging down the straps of her bra and pressing her against the wall.

His movements are easy, fluid; lift and rise and he's got her pinned against the wall, moving down to suck and bite at her neck while he grinds casually against her. Stephen, clearly, is in no hurry — just as well, because she was the one who decided to show up out of nowhere. She may as well show him the courtesy of staying a while.

the mischief god’s words bode ill,  as usual.     but take note how he does not speak of himself specifically,  no:   it is to be unspoken yet understood that he is somehow  stricken  by his own past actions & unable to move beyond them.     beyond the  guilt.     beyond the  DISSATISFACTION  IN  HIMSELF  at becoming a mere pawn in another’s war game.     this dissatisfaction shows in the tight purse of thin lips as he worries the hand held by its twin at his lower back,  the tension of those shoulders,  the furrow of fine black brows.
