I love that I was able to blend two of my favorite things together, today….Cycling with my husband and role playing. Don't my foxie ears work great as kitty ears too? @thefoxesking
And I were the only people there that knew the story behind this head wear.

You are being interrogated about your time working as a detective in Lucella's police department.
You must recount your tales of talking animals and surviving an apocalypse, all while trying not to sound too crazy in the process.
Run Rabbit is a game and story concept inspired by Roblox Piggy. How i managed to create an entire game concept from a PeppaPig x Granny Roblox game is beyond me, but here we are.
Below you will find all my posts relating to character designs, chapter re-writes, game mechanics, and more.
When i started to re-design that characters, i was mostly focused on making them recognisable.
I inspired from other media that involved anthropomorphic animals, such as: Zootopia, Kung Fu Panda, and Disney's Robin Hood just to name a few.
I drew most of these over a year ago, and it was my first time properly drawing anthro animals. They aren't exactly what i wanted, but not too bad for a first go.

Diego (or Doggy in game) i inspired heavily off of Augustus P. Crumhorn IV from Danger Mouse.
His uniform in game eludes to him being a uniformed officer, and i kept his purple shirt for his off-duty kit, turning it into a turtleneck sweater.
I drew his regular infect design, and i wasn't too pleased with this sketch. (that's why it's unfinished)
In future, i'll probably change this a fair bit to match the new tone i'm going for.

Wolfred is my design for Willow's father, with her mother being called Wanda. (amazing names i know)
Fitz (Foxy) i wanted to have a really basic design to contrast his over the top brother, Felix.
(within my re-write Fitz and Felix also meet Bonnet. She is connected to Rabbit (the player) - continuing the rabbit motif of the main character/story)
»»——————»
Speaking of Bonnet, i wanted her to be the face of a larger story arc within the main story. I kept her design similar to the games for now, but she may need some tweaks in the future.
I wanted to add a variety of ages to this story as well, so i made Bunny an older teen/young adult, giving her a slightly more grungy/tomboy aesthetic.
(also some bonus Decay fanart i made a while back)

Raze was a character i couldn't get quite right. This is one of the idea dumps i made trying to nail down a solid design.
I inspired from Pickle Rick's design from Rick and Morty for small robotics, as well as experimenting with more rat-like qualities, referencing rat robots. (yes they actually exist)

The Silver Paw was one of my favourites back when i made these.
Most of them are close enough to the original characters, but one major change i made was to Filip. I changed him to be a hyena to add more purple tones to the group, inspired by the Lion King.
(Characters left to right: Baren, Katie, Filip, Willow, Felix, Ping (Pandy), Pablo (Pony))
Baren was one of my favourite members, so i also drew him smoking a cigar.

And finally i made a sheet for Tigre. (Tigry)
I originally wrote for the war Tigre fought in to be semi-based on a real one: Operation Bøllebank.
I probably won't keep this after learning it was a civil war, but i am definitely keeping the idea that Wolfred, Wanda, and Tigre served together as this makes Tigre an uncle/father figure for Willow - which will be a fun dynamic to explore.
(Kang-Dan = Kitty)

There is much more art i made when first coming up with this concept. I will be posting much of my older ideas, and newer on this blog.

Last year, i was on another nostalgia trip and remembered a game called Piggy. I used to play it every now and again with my old friends on Roblox, and decided to see what had become of it.
A few years and a shit ton of writing later, i came up with a concept for a horror puzzle game that completely overhauls the main and side stories.
(weirdly, this sort of thing is a common occurrence for me)

So what is Run Rabbit?
Run Rabbit follows you, a detective, shackled to the table of an interrogation room. You are asked to recount your days working at Lucella's police department.
You can barely think straight, and can't even remember your own name. Everyone there used to just call you Rabbit anyway, on account of the two strands of hair you could never get to lay flat.
An ironic name considering you were the only human there. Or at least, you think you were human. It's all rather hazy.
A few months into your transfer, you got an all-call. There was a sudden influx of, well, everything. B&Es, arson, riots, missing persons, you name it. Everyone was called in, and over the next few days, all hell broke loose.

Game Concept:
The game itself is a horror puzzle game, with the chapters of the story being told through the case files (instead of chapters) that are built, by the interrogators, as you play.
You uncover what happened during the out-break of an unknown disease that turns the animals around you into feral beasts, contorted by their own memories.
Each will take on different mannerisms, patterns, and behaviours that you will have to learn in order to avoid your own death, and solve puzzles to uncover the mysteries of the character's lives before the infection, and your own.

The Original Game:
Piggy, in my opinion, is very lacklustre.
Much of the plot progression feels clunky, it has countless discrepancies, and no time for you to get to know the characters you are surviving with.
And the gameplay is either outdated (thanks to it's simple Granny inspired puzzle progression) or far to complex to do while being chased.
My re-imagining aims to fix these issues and tell a more in depth story that the medium and time didn't allow.

What Now?
I am no game dev, nor a coder, so this isn't a dev log unfortunately.
ADHD doesn't allow me the luxury of being able to complete projects either, so this is more of an on-going documentation of my ideas on the matter. Whenever i get the urge to spend 8 hours a day for the next month drawing/writing about this subject anyway.
