Roommate, didn't you say that you were asexual? I'm not against romance though. I cover a wide range on the spectrum. She's not against dating people.

#RUNONWEEK | day two: harold...
Park Mae Yi
Seongyeom probably thought Mae Yi being asexual meant that she wouldn’t want to be in a romantic relationship. She identifies as asexual but she’s not aromantic. She is comfortable with romance and dating someone. She represents a wide range of the spectrum. Asexuality doesn’t mean just one thing. Sexuality is complex and personal and is different for everyone.
It stuck out to me that when they first met Ji Hyun asked Mae Yi if she was okay with dating men. Even though he fell in love with her at first sight he didn’t automatically assume that she would be straight or that she’d date him. He was considerate of her feelings and made her feel safe before he even knew her.
#RUNONWEEK | Day Four: WOMEN!!! ↪ Mijoo x May (Shin Sekyung & Lee Bongryun)
What are Mijoo and May to one another? They say one of the things they are in the finale: family. But they’re so much more. They’re roommates, the closest of friends, and colleagues. They’re movie buddies. For May, Mijoo is a constant source of entertainment and also a professional she admires and respects enough to hire to re-translate something she had translated herself years before. For Mijoo, May is a mentor, a bedrock of wry humor and rationality, and someone she braves the world with; but May means even more to her. You know how Mijoo tries to be the adult she wishes she had when she were younger? In many ways, May is that adult.
In Run On, Mijoo and May are the ideal. They create something precious with one another—a home. When Seongyeom comes from a meeting with his family with a cut on his face, he says he wants to have what Mijoo has, a home to return to—her home with May. When Seongyeom is lonely, when Danah is despondent, when Eunbi is bewildered and betrayed by her father, they come to the home Mijoo’s made with May. Their home is a constant in the drama, a place of safety. Together they manage to make something that everyone else in the drama is seeking.
We’ll probably never be able to understand each other, right? Yes. We’re different, after all. You have your world, and I have mine. But we could align our worlds next to each other, couldn’t we? So let’s not be disappointed even if we can’t understand each other. That’s something we can’t do anything about. We just have to do whatever we can that’s within our means.
