I might not be the fastest person on the trail, in fact I never finished earlier than 5th (out of 5 no less) in my age group through the whole series, I was usually close to last. But I showed up and finished. Lacing up your shoes and getting out the door is the hardest part. The last @wasatchtrailrunseries of the season was at @snowbird It was outstanding to meet the newest and youngest CM Family member, the beautiful Berlin (Jesse & Stephanie King's daughter). We would like to give a shoutout to Ricardo Fernandez (photo with Jesse) and Allan Marx (no photo) our two civilian friends who bought the Hyperthreads CM jerseys to show support. Love seeing these guys running in our jersey supporting our mission. My trail running friend Brandie Hoban always gives me encouragement whether it's before a race or as she goes flying past me on the trail, thanks Brandie and hopefully one day I will be able to stay closer (damn you're fast). To Spence Marsing who's goal was to catch this old Army Veteran before the seasons end....there is always next year Brother (love ya bro). Thank you for running the series with me this year, it has been exciting to see you and the family at the races. We had a great group of CM Vets and support members at the @wasatchtrailrunseries Trail running is a great family event, two of the Veterans kids ran the 5 mile trail race. CM Family members Autumn and Richard Krulisky came out with their family to volunteer at the race (unfortunately I never got a photo of them as they rushed off to help Mitt). Legally blind runner Kelly Draper ran another great race proving CM Vets will never quit! David Smith missed the turn off for short course so he ended up running the long course (8 miles).
