The physical world can help us interact with the spirit world, if we have the right tools for the job. Do you collect anything? What type of magickal items do you have? Do you have a shrine, or altar, if so tell me about it? What is the most money you have ever spent on a magickal item? How many books are magickal subjects do you own, and which one is your favorite? Do you own any holy books or religious scriptures? What is the most makeshift tool you’ve ever used in ritual?

Take time to appreciate the physical things that you have.

I have quite a collection of things including wolf related merchandise, and weapons. The magickal items that I have are things such as crystals, herbs, staffs, tarot cards, oracle cards, wand , sacred path in cards, mortars and pestles, and athames. Presently I do not have any altars, or shrines, and the most money that I have spent on a magical item is $200 for a life-size wolf statue housing for a servitor. I only own like 30 magickal books in the physical form, and I own like a hundred something digitally. It would be really hard to choose my favorite. I own a whole lot of Bibles, the Koran, Tao Te Ching, and the Book of Mormon, though I am looking to collect all the holy. The most makeshift tool that I ever used in ritual would have to be the runes that I created myself.

Day 9 The Laws Of The Wild

“Things that do not follow the rules can be punished for it, things that try not to follow the laws learn quickly that they cannot change them.” - The Wolf Of Antimony

Control creates order, and the lack of control leads to chaos. Having a good amount of control, and understanding in your practice allows it to flourish. Do you live by any code of ethics, or morals? How do you feel about cursing, are you for it, or against it, and why? How you feel about love spells, are you for it, or against it, and why? Do you believe there are certain magicks that shouldn’t be done? Do you believe that magick has any laws, or limitations?  Are there any universal laws you believe in such as the Law of Attraction, Karma, or the Hermetic principles of the kybalion? Do you believe there’s anyone that can not practice Magick?

Take time to look at your morals, and ethics, and your understandings of what can be done.

I have mixed feelings about cursing. I don’t like the idea of anything aimed at hurting anyone (emotionally or physically) but I can understand anger or feeling like there’s no other option and things like that. From what I have seen not all curses are aimed at hurting, some are more of ‘learn your lesson’ and that settles with me better. I reserve the right to do my own curses if I ever felt it was appropriate, but I think it would take a lot for me to get to that point.

I’m okay with love spells IF (1) the person consents to it being done and knows about it AND (2) it does not forcibly change anyone’s feelings or actions. Otherwise it’s consensual manipulation and that’s not okay.

I think magick does have limitations. There’s only so much we can do in the physical world. We might be able to nudge things in a certain direction but I can’t cast a spell to make me fly (as cool as that would be) or be able to shapeshift in the physical. The laws of physics still apply.

Helping others is an important thing inside, and outside the magickal community. In any form of way do you help other practitioners in the magical community? Is there anything that you provide the magickal community with such as spells, rituals, information, tarot spreads, or anything else that you can think of? Is it okay for new beginner witches to come ask you questions? Do you ever go, and ask other witches questions? What advice would you have given yourself when you first started out on this path? What would you say are the essentials to beginning witchcraft?

Take time to think about how you can better the community, and the people that are in it.

I like to believe that I do help practitioners in the magickal community by providing spells, rituals, techniques, sigils, tarot spreads, and other forms of information to practitioners who want to learn certain practices. It is always okay for beginner practitioners to come ask me questions, if they would like to know anything about the practice of magick, or my practice in general. I am always open for questions. They sometimes go and ask for advice from other practitioners, but there are not a lot of practitioners that I look up, or I would feel okay with asking questions to. The advice that I would give myself when I was first started out on this path would be to steer clear of spellsofmagic.com, and to focus more closely on sigils, servitor creation, energy work, and Spirit of the Wolf, because these understandings will take you far.

The essentials to beginning witchcraft for me would be:

Understanding the laws of magick, and Hermetic principles of the kybalion

Understanding spiritual energy

Visualization

Centering

Grounding

A form of protection like circle casting

We are all on our own journeys searching for our own personal meanings. We are spiritual, and powerful beings searching the far corners of the cosmos in hopes of discovering what we are looking for. What religion are you, if any? What type of witch do you consider yourself? Are there any deities that you worship, or work with? Where do you believe we go when we die? What do you think your purpose for living is? How can you be sure you know, what you know? Do you consider yourself to be spiritual, religious, or maybe even a combination of both? Do you believe there is such things as good, and evil, and if so what do you believe is good, and what do you believe is evil?

Take time to think about the meaning that you have given yourself, and how it fits into your practice, and life.

My religion is my own personal spiritual philosophy that I have created and been working on for quite a while now known as Viadescioism. This religion is made up of my own personal spiritual understandings combined with things that I have learned over the years, and I continue to add to it every time that I find something new that I want to incorporate into my religion. Because of my widespread belief, and understandings of multiple traditions, practices, and believes I consider myself to be an eclectic, and syncretic witch, though I do fit into more of the types. Personally I worship, and work with the archetypes of divinity as I have laid them out in Viadescioism, though I do work with any gods that specifically call out to me. I am also very fond of communicating with the orisha, when I have chances to, for more traditional practices. I consider myself to be a combination of both spirituality and religion.

My belief surrounding where we go when we die is based in the understanding of passing on to the next plane of existence, because of this I believe that you go to the etheric plane until you move on through the veil to the astral plane. Because of this I believe a lot of the afterlife realms are actually in the astral plane on one of the three levels of it with places like hell being lower, and places like heaven being higher.

My belief surrounding the purpose of life is that there is no purpose to life, and the individual who owns the life will make up their own unique meaning, so pretty much just existentialism.

You can't be sure that you know, what you know. Nothing could be true, and it's very hard to prove that's something you know is actually true. When the only thing that you can prove to be true are axioms. Which is why I hold the understanding of contextualism, allowing things to be true within their certain contexts, and because of that we can prove things true through observation, and reasoning as long as we keep it in a mundane context, and do not drift into a higher philosophical understanding.

Where do you believe your strength comes from? What keeps you determined? What would it take in order to break your willpower? Do you believe your body is healthy, and strong, why, or why not? Do you believe your mind is healthy and strong, why, or why not? Do you believe your spirit is healthy, and strong, why, or why not? Who can you trust to stand by you, and help you down your path? What do you believe threatens your path, if anything? How will you be stronger tomorrow?

Take some time to think about how strong you are.

Knowing that every day I grow, and learn fills me with determination. I believe that my strength comes from wanting to know more and to continue on my journey. I don't believe it would take a lot in order to take down my willpower pretty much just minor inconveniences and other things, but to keep it down would be the hard part. I do not believe my mind, body, or spirit is particularly strong or healthy in any way. everyday I take strives to understand these aspects of and to better their health and strength, but as for right now it's slowly deteriorate from self-infliction, society and through being, and it will probably be like this until I at learn to work with the flow. I will be stronger tomorrow because of my determination pressing on, and to figure out what I need to, and want to.
