Emma had a shit day at work and she wasn’t feeling it. Her uncle told her she should try to make friends, stay away from the trouble making boys in town, try to navigate life in a small town, because it looked she was going to be here for a while until her parents knew that she was learning her lesson and to not take their wealth for granted, she was just texting her best friend with a boy sat down next to her and she looked over, taking him in. “No offense but you definitely look like one of the trouble making boys my uncle warned me about, and I’m already in a hole don’t need to make it deeper, so you can stop processing whatever you want to say and go on about your way” 

the demigod was a hunter, but he was not the kind to do so with abandon. no, he was particular about killing and doing it carefully. just because something wasn’t human didn’t make it a monster. his blade only killed those who killed with reckless abandon. it’s why he hadn’t sunk apollo’s blessing inside of them and turned them into ash. a weapon capable of turning any thing it pierces into ash as long as he was the one wielding it. the son of apollo, dante, was capable of taking on any creature of this world or the next. but being capable and choice are two different things. “ look. i’m a hunter and you’re not a human. so don’t give me a reason to kill you, and i won’t kill you. deal? now let’s drink. “
