It is a lazy run on a saturday morning. I feel tired. This year there was so much rain which has made my rheumatoid hotter than ever. But I have plans for this year 😶
2/5 workout
Did my second post marathon workout today! It consisted of 2.52 elliptical miles and leg weights. I did the leg press, step ups with dumbbells, leg extension, and leg curls. Slowly getting back into it. I am also working full time now! Ya for that. But it comes with a bit of a commute. So I am trying to figure out how to factor that into my schedule.
Let’s see if I can actually start posting regularly.
12 miles for the day
Shits getting real. I was definitely tired. And hungry. But got in there and got it done. I wish o hadn’t just snowed. I wanted to run outside, but the bike path is still overed in snow. But that life.
9 total miles. (With a 5k race in the middle.) I also walked 2.5 miles and worked a 6 hour shift at the nyc marathon expo. Man are my legs shot. I am gonna be feeling this tomorrow.

Marathon training week 2
Sunday: 2 mile recover run. I kept it super super slow. I’m Very bad at that. I tend to get faster as I run, which just leads me to getting tired and needing to stop. So I am trying to focus and keeping pace.
Monday: Man was Monday nerve wracking. I had another speed workout. Warm up and cool down with 2 x400 @ 10 min pace and 2x200 @ 9:30 pace. I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to do it. But I did! And I felt good the whole time!
Tuesday: cross trained. Not that interesting
Wednesday: 3 easy miles
Thursday: more cross training
Friday: rest day
Saturday: I did 7 miles at a 12:07 pace. Which is definitely too fast for a long run. And I could feel that I was getting very tired.
Guys , I am so excited that training is going well. That’s all I really wanted was a good season. And I’m feeling good! I’m so excited. I’ll try and take some pictures during the week so that these posts aren’t so boring.
Marathon Training week 1
So week 1 of training for the Disney Marathon is over. Man was it hard. Day one was hills and I was unable to complete the work out. I think I just psyched myself out when I got uncomfortable and convinced myself I could not do it.
But I gave myself an extra rest day and did my cross training. Today, despite my blisters, I did my 5 mile long run. Definitely went out too fast, but I’m working on that.
I’m so happy I got a coach because she is slowly helping me realize that I am physically capable, that I just psych myself out.
On to the next week.
Officially registered for the Disney marathon. I won’t be running Toronto because my mother ended up unavailable the weekend. But now I have more time to train. I hired a coach and we are gonna backtrack and do some base building, which I am pumped about.
