Proud to have taken part in the Vhi mini marathon in Dublin this Sunday. It’s a women’s 10km charity event and it’s the biggest one of its kind with more than 30,000 ladies taking part and singing Molly Malone just before the start of the race. 29,900 of those women were ahead of me as I failed to read the email asking me to verify my 10k time, so I ended up in the slowest group. First km was at 7.19min/km pace so you can imagine what was going on. I didn’t manage to race this one but I got in a decent workout with the second 5km at a nice pace. I finished in 52.54’ but was honored to run with such a great crowd and read the back of those T-shirt’s with the names of all the charities being supported. I ran having in mind Socks, a mutt I picked up from the streets who is now being treated for 3 terrible diseases at the shelter for animals KAZ in Greece. #sundayraceday #vhiminimarathon2018 #charityrun #womensonlyrace #rundublin (at Dublin, Ireland)
