So lastnight I finished my copy of Runaway Max and I would honestly highly recommend for the following reasons;

It’s season 2 from Max’ POV

There’s ALOT of Billy

It’s a deeper dive into what happened when Neil and Billy Hargrove came into Max’ life

You will feel differently about Billy

You may cry (I did)

You may also be horrified

I hate to say it cause I love Billy Hargrove

BUT

The boy is tormented, crazy, out of control.

Basically he is a product of his upbringing.

Neil is an A##HOLE

Also

You find out WHY they moved to Hawkins. If you remember that scene where Billy screams at Max “SAY IT” before going to run over the boys. Yeah that is explained.

if you wanna know why this blog even exists in the first place, b is one of the reasons. honestly, without you, i don’t think i would’ve gotten back into this show and fallen so in love with it enough to completely immerse myself in the fandom by writing nancy. ever since i met you on your multi, our friendship has only grown stronger and i can’t wait to see what adventures our muses end up on. also, can i just say how incredibly perfect your max is? i mean, your other muses are perfect too, but i definitely fell in love with your max so hard in particular when you posted that headcanon about her vans. i’m so honored that i get to have you as a writing partner and a friend and i’m so excited for what’s to come. <3

"You sure you're tall enough for that ride," he mocked adding an exaggerated face in order to prove a point. Looking back up at the Tig'rr Coaster he could feel his heart racing. This was something completely different to the small rides that had been at the fun fair. Not that he had time to enjoy them. This was what today was meant for. His parents allowing him to bring Max on their family outing. He figured that maybe this would also help her with her grief. A nice distraction. Placing his hands on her shoulders he smiled wide. "But if you're too scared I'd totally understand."

Gideon was still adjusting to being in Hawkins. It was still strange to be back in the small town that was technically his place of birth. The neatly manicured lawns with the quaint downtown main street was enough to make him long for the big city. This must be what it was like for people who moved to more rural areas. 

Chief Hopper had been gracious enough to allow him to stay at his house, although Gideon was convinced it was mostly due to Jane’s insistence, but he was grateful none the less. Having a roof and somewhere safe to sleep was better than the way that had been living for the past few years, trying to find a quiet place that was tucked away so he could get a few hours of sleep.

It was about noon when he settled himself onto the porch, pausing to light up a cigarette. The house was quiet, with Hopper and Jane having made a trip to the grocery store for groceries, leaving Gideon to figure out what he was going to do with the hour or two he had free. So, when the red head came up the drive, he arched an eyebrow.

“If you are looking for Jane, she isn’t here. You are welcome to wait however.”

he didn’t know they’d be surprising him in his house. at first he thought things were just going wrong again who would BLAME him? so of course he wielded the hairspray in a panicked not thinking sort of rational way. now lucas was washing his eyes out and he was sitting in the living room with Max frowning. “I didn’t KNOW you guys would do that!” he defended himself whipping around towards max. “you scared the fuck out of me! how - how did you even..? get in this house?” eyes still wide -- and hell his heart was still racing. he didn’t even think they’d care if he came back.
