Hi, Again!! I maybe like your Rumi Saja au too much, but itās fineeeee! So, I have another questionā do Huntr/x ever make up? If so, how do you think that would.. happen? (Also, what would the boys think?)
Love the au, again, and thanks for answering my last question!
Hello again,
itās taken me a few days to find my answer, Iāve been in the Celine torment nexus.
I donāt think thereās a universe where those girls donāt come back together. Without the very dramatic nearly-getting-killed-by-Gwi-Ma event it does take the girls a bit to get over it but thatās mostly because they arenāt seeing Rumi in that time.
The conflict is more Huntrix v Saja boys then Rumi v anyone but itās in a complicated way.
The Saja boys grow to care about Rumi quite quickly in very little time. Sheās basically a Saja boy to them. Theyāre the ones she is with while she embraces her from heritage and they more than anyone else are aware of how demonic Rumi actually it. They are also aware that Huntrix are Demon Slayers.
Historically their reaction to Huntrix outside of safe public areas is to book it as far and as fast as possible in the other direction. Rumi is not getting dragged along when it comes time to run. They donāt want to risk it. This escalates to blocking any possible contact.
They donāt realize how strong of an overstep this is but Rumi figures it out. She eventually just kinda leaves a note and goes to see Huntrix.
She expects them to be angrier than they are. Itāsā¦. a hard conversation. Still they fall into sync. Even their arguments are inside their rhythms. They end the conversation absolutely wrung out and also lighter then ever.
The girls ask if she wants to come home with them but sheās not ready. She has to let the Saja boys know sheās reconnecting with Huntrix which gets heated as well.
At first she thinks itās jealously until theyāre screaming and she realizes theyāve been terrified of Huntrix hurting her. Sheās still mad about it and realizes theyāve need to figure out how this all going to balance but first she asks them if they realize theyāre not going to loose her. Not as long as she has anything to say about itā¦.
That makes everything calm down a little.
Hiiiii!! Sorry about just,, spam-liking your Rumi Saja au, but itās super cool!!! One of the tags you had for one was, uh,, āask me about her[Rumi] solo careerā so,, may I PLEASE request more about that?
Yes!!!!
So as we have established Huntrix had the messiest public breakup you have ever seen and considering that Rumi clearly goes no contact everyone is assuming something was going on behind the scenes. Then Rumi starts hanging around the Saja Boys and after weeks of radio silence says she is starting up her solo career. Everyoneās excited. (Technically the first thing she stars in is a collab with the Saja boys. Itās a cutesy video and theyāre all chasing her romantically.)
She says her solo work will be much different. Itās a deconstruction of herself as an idol and person. She put a lot of pressure on herself to be perfect and live up to her motherās career, she says. But this is going to be a look back on all the things she couldnāt sing about before because she hid a lot of personal struggles from both the public and the people around her. (my main inspiration for her musical sound is Halsey but Iām also thinking artists like Mitski and other alternative artists like that)
The first musical video starts with distant yelling. Itās a kitchen and Rumi is there with a man who appears to be her boyfriend. Theyāre yelling but you canāt hear it while the music asks the subject why theyāre so avoidant and scared. Then the scene shifts and itās the same argument but with a woman. (She confirms that this is her being Bi) Then Rumi locks herself in the bathroom looks in the mirror and sings and it becomes clear that this damaged avoidant person sheās singing about is herself. Saying sheās often the reason things fall apart. Then the last scene is her knocking on a front door that opens. We donāt see whatās next but general vibe is that sheās still trying.
Thus begins a series of music videos dissecting Rumiās relationship with her body, with her guilt, her stardom, her sexuality. Itās shocking but most people are genuinely liking it.
Then The Video. From the outside it seems like it drops out of nowhere. (From the inside one of the Huntrix girls got into a bit of a scandal and Rumi decided to drop this early to redirect attention.) itāsā¦. a Lot more sexually charged. Think your idol mixed with I am Not a Woman Iām a God and HOLY FVCK. Itās a dance music video, the Saja boys are all there. Thereās moments with most of them. She steps on one of them. (They fought to be the one who got stepped on) another one pulls her hair.
itās actually a really interesting look into her sexual autonomy and relationship with power and a bold reclaiming of those. Thatās not what most people are talking about. These songs are all collected into one album. She is probably toying with a narrative album at this point or maybe a genre shift. Thatās as far as I have drafted though
