Listen, I could claim that I have a "sophisticated" sense of humour, but the truth is that the one joke in Trollhunters that had me literally gasping for breath with laughter was when on a double date, Toby whispers "Rule 3!" at Jim, meaning that he should stop Claire and Darci from leaving the table as they'd planned, and Jim automatically, WITHOUT HESITATION, kicks him in the nuts. He's drilled it into his head so hard that "Rule 3" means a crotch-kick that his knee jerks like a reflex test in a doctor's office. I'm a 26 year old woman and I had to pause the show because I couldn't stop laughing at the absolute lowest form of physical comedy, but damn it was funny.
