he  smells  it,    first.    the  unique  floral  atmosphere  might  just  suffocate  him  --    had  he  any  lungs.    deceptively  sweet   as  the  petals  against  his  ankles  were  delicate.    he’s  been  here  before,    hasn’t  he?

ink  lifts  the  end  of  his  scarf  to  check  for  any  notes  he  might  have  left  himself.    it’s  mostly  names.    pleads  to  himself  not  to  forget  them.    he  lets  the  fabric  drop  a  moment  later  with  an  exasperated  sigh.    nothing  USEFUL.

memory  is  hard  for  him.    blue  &&  green  eyelights  fall  on  the  cavernous  floor  before  him.     dotted  in  yellow  flowers.    he  looks  back  to  the  inky,    vacuous  portal  from  which  he  came  &&  grimaces  slightly  at  his  own  carelessness.    hopefully  a  rain  from  the  surface  might  wash  it  off.

otherwise,    those  flowers  are  definitely  dead.    yikes.    at  least  no  one  saw  him  come  in  this  time!    well  ...    no  one  but  the  flowers.    he  hears  a  rustling  come  from  behind  him.

his  eyes  flicker,    a  little  yellow  flower    &&    a  bright  red  target  appear  in  each  socket.    REMEMBER  WHERE  YOU  ARE?    there  isn’t  a  good  place  to  hide  in  this  part  of  the  underground,    &&  it  wouldn’t  do  him  a  lotta  good  now.    so  his  gaze  follows  the  sound,    he  stares  right  at  him,    in  the  small  space  that  separates  the  two  soulless  beings.
