Hello again tumblr…I know I’ve been neglectful. Things haven’t been conducive to poetry of late, and I really should expand my circles, mix everything together, stop compartmentalizing so much.
Anyway, I made a weird sort of thing recently. It’s a game…sort of…and it’s visual art…sort of…and it’s literature/poetry…sort of. I suppose one could call it an illustrated interactive story, or a literary art game. I made it for Ruin Jam 2014 in about a week, but it’s fairly polished. There are a few typos in the current version, however. I’ll patch em out eventually.
It’s called “Composition in a Minor Key” and it doesn’t require you to download anything or pay anything (there’s an option to donate a few bucks, though). The link will take you straight into it. Fair warning: it does have sound, so turn yours down a bit if you’re in a public place sans headphones. If you like it, spread the word.

Announcing the very first project from Swan Princess Games: Dragon Free Zone!
This was made for Ruin Jam 2014, and features ruining games via Forced Diversity, which as we all know is the very worst.
The village of Harbor, in the Dragon Free Zone (not a dragon-free zone, please stop saying that) is shaken to the core when the titular dragon suddenly disappears. For a settlement of refugees and runaways, only the presence of a powerful dragon has been protecting them from the powerful realms at the Zone's borders. Now a handful of villagers must race to find out what's become of their protector.
This was definitely a learning experience, and is also VERY definitely an alpha release; I very much appreciate any feedback you may wish to give on playability, game balance, and mechanics as well as story, characters, and general effect.
I mean, I also appreciate fulsome compliments, but nobody's perfect.
