Getting started on my training for next year's #ruggedred #redrivergorge #koomerridge #trailrunning (at Red River Gorge)

I want to win @according2kelly 's #giveagoal giveaway. Kelly's inspiring story is filled with obstacles and hurdles-- she feared her battle with cancer would end her running days. But because Kelly is such a strong and passionate individual, she continues to push herself--she's a rockstar! After many years of injuries, lack of confidence, and self-defeat, Kelly's story and posts encouraged to me to give running another chance. in 2014, i completed my first #RuggedRed trail half marathon--something I never thought I would truly accomplish. I also rediscovered my passion for running. Now, i use runnning to escape from hard times and as a form of therapy. Without Kelly, I wouldn't have signed up for a trail 8 mile run, the #tarheel10miler2015 , the #NewRiverHalf2015, or considered running a 25k trail run in September, 2015. I'm also making plans to run my first marathon. Thank you Kelly for staying strong and keeping me confident!
