"Ah-- careful, Lulu. Let's keep to the side."
The petite redhead did her best to corral the Lucario as a collection of officers hurried down the street. She frowned, watching as they cut down one of the avenues, hurrying off to what she assumed as sirens. Of course, of all days she chose to make a visit to Lumiose City and seemingly half of it was roped off due to... something.
Daedra had no idea what it could be, but certainly nothing good. Frankly, it seemed no one had much clue what was going on, from what she could make out in the hushed but curious whispers of any passerby's. While normally very curious, she was perfectly happy remaining ignorant, and getting herself and her Pokemon out of the crowds of the too busy landmark.
"Let's try down this way," Daedra suggested, turning her attention back to her companion. "Maybe this avenue is open!"
Lulu, unlike her trainer, was much more invested in all the hub bub. Alarms and people yelling and lots of hurrying about - it made her ears constantly flick about. Her various flower clips and bows clicking together as she did so. Lulu did manage to pull her attention long enough to turn to Daedra, nodding as she let out a purred bark in response.
"Sorry we couldn't get to the boutique you wanted," Daedra lamented, as they made their way opposite of the crowds. "Maybe if we pass a different one on the way to the outer routes..."
Lulu warbled back in assurance. She always liked getting a fancy 'treat' but sometimes it didn't work out that way! And it seemed it wouldn't work out still, as yet another avenue was seemingly closed off. The city was turning into a real maze!
"Oh dear..." Daedra sighed, thinking on what to do. She normally always got turned around even when all the walkways -were- open for use. Perhaps it was time for some help. Looking up, Daedra noticed a finely dressed individual towards the end of the street. They didn't appear lost like she and Lulu felt...maybe they knew something!
"Hello--excuse me," Daedra called out, raising her arm in a wave to get the person's attention. "Pardon me, but could you help us out a bit. We're trying to find an open avenue out of the city. Do you know which way to go?"
When RABID graced the cover of RUE MORGUE. What a wonderful day for Canada, and therefore of course, the world. #Rabid #RueMorgue #ClearlyCanadian https://www.instagram.com/p/Cn_VeFeurh4RbkN8qDJbJwkWaoAE_799ZiQ93g0/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
@ruemorgue has followed sunny-scholar!
With each passing day in this magic-less hellhole, Anestra swears she’s getting more and more bored. She’s gotten used to the stares, the whispers, the... lack of magic— ok, no, she hasn’t! The air stinks and she misses how nice Azeroth smelled, she’d even take the Undercity again compared to this.
So when her ‘undeath’ senses began to tingle, she looked around wildly for the source. Upon seeing the blue haired stranger in the crowd, she began to not so discreetly follow him. If he turned out to just be a regular, breathing person she was sure gonna be miffed!
When he turns a corner, she follows... into an absolutely empty alley.
She lets out a cuss word in Thalassian. “Where did he go? Oh geez, don’t tell me he vanished!” Great! Just great! Her first real undead person in ages and they ditch her. Talk about rude.

“Is this the right door number?” The detective quietly asks herself with the autopsy report in hand as she scans the door plates to be sure that she has the correct one. She internally sighs and raises a fist up to gently rap on the dark door. At the very least, the detective knew that she could always ask if they knew which door the office it is if this turns out to be the incorrect door.

@ruemorgue ❤'d for a starter!
Judge Moira Rivali, better known as Lady Luck, invited Von Winterbach into her chambers with a polite incline of her head. The interior walked the line between judge’s chambers and casino in overall aesthetic. She perched back behind her desk, which was shaped and printed like a roulette table, though it was not inset.
Her black painted lip stood in stark contrast with her pale skin and her silvery gaze was piercing as she gestured for Von Winterbach to sit, red fingernails glittering.
“How might I assist you?”
The 23rd anniversary #Halloween issue of @ruemorguemag is here! Here's a sneak peek of my recipe from this issue: Sam's #PumpkinSpice Cookie Cake inspired by #TrickRTreat! 🎃 This deliciously soft and chewy cookie cake is decorated to look like Sam’s deadly lollipop and filled with the flavors of fall. 🍂🍁 One bite of this cookie cake may convince Sam to spare your life, even if you do choose to blow out your jack o' lantern too early, or ignore the sugar-fueled trick-or-treaters at your door. While this cookie cake is lightly sweet and delicious on its own, I highly recommend serving it with a generous dollop of whipped cream, or, my favorite—vanilla bean ice cream. 🍦 On stands September 1st, or order from the #RueMorgue website. https://www.instagram.com/p/CEN4sJtjVad/?igshid=1rfn9lf8xsk3y
