❮Time to wine down.❯ // boey&alm
With the grapes harvested around Garreg Mach and from Adrestia around this time of year, the administration is hosting their annual wine-tasting event in the entrance hall. Students and faculty alike are able to use ingredients there to make their own wines and partake in some too, under the supervision of the monastery staff. Technically, you’re not allowed to take any out of the hall.

the monastery was boisterous with the much eager and much festive folks participating in a wine-tasting event, some boasting on their superior and fine tastes and others only in it for the glory of how much they could drink and still even form a sentence.
“good grief—” a rumbly sigh, barely audible.
it was particularly the latter that boey had volunteered to go look after the students who wished to waste themselves ignobly without condemnation. the staff brings in the adrestian grapes from the vineyards, and he restrains himself from letting out a long, dramatic sigh seeing many eyes light up like little glowing candles in the dim entrance hall. ( gods, there’s rows of them! )
boey was no stranger to festivities like these—oh no, he truly was not. he recalled many over the years that zofia ( and novis by territory extension ) would hold wine celebrations under the name of mila’s blessings. his own family loved to sail out and drink within a mile from coast as their own way of treating themselves. maybe snatch a big catch or two in their stupor—and because of being in dazed states, their fish would wiggle free easily and flop around on deck until they go overboard back into the emerald sea.
... and speaking of emerald, he thought he saw a blur of such color in the distance among the rows of students. he squints, taking footsteps to see better whose the green hair belonged to, as he had seen more than one person with it at garreg mach. then it became apparent when his eyes land on neither a round-faced youth’s nor an uptight middle-aged man’s.
“a—sir alm!? you would be here for this thing as well?” surprise was clear from the tone of his voice, one of his brows raised and stuck there in disbelief.
