“... and you will bring me Hiram's Orrery, wont you?”
🥊 MEET RUBY WHITE — 60 WINS, ZERO LOSSES, AND SHE'S ONLY 19
Remember this name. Ruby White from Stalbridge, Dorset — the smallest town you've probably never heard of — is quietly building one of the most extraordinary records in British amateur boxing.
60 straight wins. World Under-19 champion. Four-time European champion. Six-time national champion. And she's been boxing since she was seven years old.
Her trainer Shaun Weeks spotted it immediately: "The first time she ever came into my gym as a seven-year-old, at the end of the session I announced to everyone, 'If I can keep this girl interested in boxing, I will make her a champion.'" He wasn't wrong.
Of her 28 international bouts, she's won all 28 — stopping 17 opponents. She was also crowned the overall 'Golden Girl' at January's prestigious Golden Girl Championship in Sweden, beating out over 500 female boxers for the honour — a goal she had set for herself as a 12-year-old.
Her inspiration? Olympic gold medallist and unified world welterweight champion Lauren Price, who trains at the same Team GB HQ in Sheffield. White says the pair share similarities in their hard-hitting styles and she's determined to follow Price's path from amateur gold to professional glory.
The big goal is the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. First up — win number 61 this Saturday in Sturminster Newton, and then the Senior National Championships later this month.
British boxing's next star is rising. 🌟
