Nina and Sarah have been friends for 10 years. They formed a friendship when Sarah nursed Nina's daughter after she needed a transplant at 7 months old. They ran 100k over the duration of last weekend, raising over £15000 for charity. Olivia, Nina's daughter, is in the middle

Laura started running in the March of last year. On the Race to the Stones weekend she racked up 100k over the Saturday and Sunday, showing that it isn't always time into experience, but the ability to work at something.

Almost at the end of day 2, shortly before the heavens opened. Debbie had ran almost 100k in less than 48 hours here, and still had enough in her to crack a smile.

Amelia ran the 100K over 2 day option. An epic achievement for her first journey over marathon distance, racing 50k, sleeping, then getting up to do it all again. Made even better as she came home as 4th lady.

Sprinting hand in hand to the finish. Sanchia and Tilly were side by side for the whole 50k. Sharing the hills, laughter and victory slices of homemade carrot cake, so the story goes!

6 weeks out with injury, a no to running the race, and then gentle persuasion came. On Sunday, Melissa listened to her body. She took to the trails with ease, ran further than the half marathon distance she'd experienced, and managed it all in her stride. A bounce back, and 50k in the bag for our Northern lassy.
