Giving voice to high-tech signs to help visually-impaired passengers
Visually-impaired bus passengers can now get the full benefit from new, recently-installed Real Time Passenger Information (RTPI) displays, thanks to the provision of audio key fobs.
A total of £900,000 from the Crawley Growth Programme has been used to replace older displays which had no audio.

Hunting Hellbender by Sally A
Hellbenders are salamanders native to the Eastern US. Classified as near threatened, their presence indicated a healthy stream. This particular hellbender is Oneka, who lives with Tweeg @ the Roger Tory Peterson Institute in Jamestown, NY. Here they act as sort of ambassadors for Hellbenders and conservation, as they can’t be released into the wild. They can be considered adolescent at 8 yrs old, and are expected to get 30 to 74 cm (12 to 29 in). They are cousins of the Chinese and Japanese Giant Salamanders.
RTPI is currently working on getting them a bigger tank.
