Roman of Reston post adventure returning to Reston looking almost like Ryker but with slightly longer hair
OK OK OK soooo
I know that canonically in the Roleslaying with Roman universe, Roman of Reston is a different character than Roman "Creativity" Sanders, it's like explained in episode one. But with the new sasi episode and Roman/Vision appearing in Roman of Restons outfit, I'm now thinking of a au where Vision=Roman of Reston and where everything that happens in RSWR was a adventure in the imagination.
Especially since the sides make cameos in RSWR (Janus as Doc Janus, Patton as LilyPadton) I could totally see Vision convincing them to join his fun.
Constantly fighting the urge to share the entire unfinished story of RsWR & show finished unaired character designs.
When I was invited to assist with writing for Roleslaying, I was excited due to my personal interest in DnD, even though my primary role was as the team artist. I initially suggested that the series be a standalone story with all new characters, allowing both new and returning fans to enjoy it without the weight of connections to existing series.
I must admit, I was disappointed that this approach wasn’t taken, as I believe it limited the storytelling potential for both AJ and I, before I became stuck as the standalone writer for the series. It also seemed to create some confusion around the characterizations and expectations.
That said, I did my best to craft the campaign around the wishes of my players and employer to make something I had hoped would make them happy. I found joy in certain aspects of the story and character moments. However, I tend to prefer deeper, more thoughtfully crafted narratives in my DnD campaigns, and I felt somewhat constrained while working on RwR. I recognize that others may have felt similarly. While I’m grateful to those who enjoyed the series, I also acknowledge that my experience wasn't entirely fulfilling.
I continue to love writing DnD for myself and my friends, and I aspire to share my own campaigns through a podcast and comic format. My partner and I even hope to turn one of our campaigns into a video game. If you enjoyed even a portion of the story I contributed to RwR, I hope you’ll look forward to my original content in the future!

I orignally drew a piece of roleslaying with roman fanart back in 2022, and i ended up posting it on instagram cause i was really happy with it i dont use insta anymore, haven't for years, but i've been wanting to redraw it for a while, especially because i like how my art's evolved in the past 2 years. i finally got around to doing it, and this is the end product!
The OG drawing (because i can't bear to look at it normally it's so bad (╥﹏╥) ) and separate pictures of all three under the cut!
All Fanders should go on YouTube and read the new community post! Thomas has laid out his plans going forward there. Including working primarily on Sanders Sides, putting both Roleslaying with Roman and My Roommate is Hades on hiatus for now!
