step 1: develop hyperfixation on coding with R
step 2: ??!!??!? (for three weeks straight)
step 3: fully interactive LCARS inspired website that does CGM analysis for the minuscule audience of diabetic star trek nerds
I got a new work computer and this is how it felt opening rstudio with the default theme and rainbow parentheses turned off
Sometimes they are right. And by they, I mean the people who tell you to have consistent file names. It helps.
my thesis is literally half a page too long because i need to report my f-statistics that take up way too much space.
F(R2=.018; F(2,10650) = 107.9; p <.001) over and over and over again???
I’m gonna cry????

POV you are a burnt out grad student trying to finish your thesis
"The Conversation", which I usually regard as a serious news outlet, said in its weekly newsletter to me that "the jury is still out on whether AI has emotions". Which is obviously bullshit, but if we're going to muddy the waters with statements like that then I will take it to its extreme and say that if ChatGPT has emotions, then ALL statistics programs have emotions. Including RStudio.
So please stop making Rphobic statements like "Python is more versatile" or "Assigning values to variables with an arrow instead of a '=' looks stupid" or "Why don't you use SPSS, it's more intuitive!" RStudio may or may not have feelings, so you need to be considerate. In fact I'm going to postulate that the programming language R itself has feelings and feels lonely if you don't use it.
they're making me use rstudio...... don't make me do this i'm so scared
