and I am SO IN LOVE. I love how you’ve captured Masara and Hikaj, and I love all the details and the imagery (like the inside of the cloaks and Masara’s light star patterns) (also i had to make this smaller for tumblr but rest assured i have a v high quality version that i have just been staring at flabbergasted for the past couple of days) and their EXPRESSIONS!! i’m so in awe of the colors and the background too, it’s all perfect.

Journey’s End - Nox Arcana

A calm and haunting instrumental, this piece was an inspiration for when Aleksandra finally gains the courage to face off against the biggest demon in her life: Sariel. She fights her as much as she could, despite knowing how interconnected they are through a forgotten bloodline and the story ends where it started: the forest where Aleksandra was found as a child.

Except this time, she remembers what happened the night her parents died but nothing else.

When We Were Gods - sixx a.m.

This song’s significance is because of Sparrow, a disgraced god who had been one of the main players in Sariel’s snapping point. This, for me, is their theme song of sorts.

The Dark Ones - Karliene

Another Aleks-centered song. This one is around the time where she is beginning to get nightmares that worsen -- and is a big inspiration to the scene where she confronts the monster that chases her in her nightmares.

Specifically, how it entices her to join it but doing so would result in everyone she’s learned to care for would die. The scene itself is significant in a turning point for her character.

Kimball remembers, in a vague sense, a time before she had scars. She knows, logically, it must have existed, that she didn’t come out of the womb with lines on her skin.

She’s not ashamed of her scars. They’re part and proof of being alive. She isn’t ashamed of her lovers’ scars, either, although sometimes she’s afraid of them—afraid of if whatever scarred York’s eye was a bit deeper. If whatever cut into Carolina’s side had been a few inches over.
