Like I said I know a little of what's happening with the Kev storyline just from seeing people talk about it and watching a few clips from the eps. I've seen people say that they think this is all about money for Rob and that everything is consensual but just going by his initial reaction to Kev showing up on his door set he looks terrified. That combined with the ptsd we've seen from him leads me to believe he was forced into this situation somehow.

Considering we haven't seen the last of John I wonder if somehow the Kev stuff and John and John's need to get revenge on Robert will intersect somehow.

Looking at the actor they chose for Kev it just feels like they purposely chose an actor who is bigger and rougher looking than Robert. That has to be because of whatever went down in prison.

You can tell just in the dynamics with how Robert and Kev talk that Kev is in control.

That kiss scene with Kev and Robert was really uncomfortable because you can tell Robert didn't want to do it. It's so weird to me that I've seen fandom criticizing Robert for all of this when clearly his connection to Kev is from whatever he dealt with in prison. Though I probably shouldn't be surprised this fandom loves to shit on Rob more than anyone else.

The power dynamic between Kev and Robert is immediatly apparent already making these scenes hard to watch.

I'm nervous to see how the show handles this storyline as it plays out. Both because it's a Rob storyline and we've seen him deal with multiple instances of abuse (both physical and sexual) and no one is ever held accountable. Worst of all the show never even lets Rob talk about any of it. I was honestly shocked they allowed him to have the ptsd stuff.

On top of all that I need I need whoever is writing some of the current storylines to realize that some of the ways they've been handling things for their queer characters lately is heading into problematic territory. Like I know it's a soap and I want to see all the characters have equal opportunity to go through the good, the bad, and every crazy messed up thing in between. Still as of this year the show had a gay man who terrorized the village with things like murder, kidnapping, and drugging people. Owen (the guy who Robert went on a date with) trying to drug and likely r*pe Robert. Charity cheat on Mack with Vanessa and Ross and now and might be pregnant with another man's kid. Vinny's storyline with him questioning his sexuality is also pretty messy. On top of him lying about everything it sends a dangerous message on how lgbtq people looking for someone to listen shouldn't reach out for help because they might get attacked for it. And now we have this guy Kev who clearly manipulated and or forced Robert into some kind of relationship with him.

It just would be nice to see some more positive queer representation starting first and foremost with Robert and Aaron. I know no one gets to be happy for too long on soaps but after all they've been through they deserve it at least for a little while.

Robert saying that he didn't think they did day releases for people like Kev. Which I'm assuming means he's probably in jail for murder.

I'm assuming that Ray is going to make some kind of deal with Dylan about April. Like tell him if he wants to pay off the imaginary debt they owe he has to transport stuff from his work. I don't think the show would be putting so much focus on him learning to drive if it wasn't heading that way.

I don't know if I believe that Kev is actually even dying. I'm not sure why they would have let him out on a day pass if he wasn't but I don't trust him at all.

I really don't know how much of the Kev and Robert scenes I'm going to be able to handle, he is sooo controlling. I feel like unless you've dealt with abuse you might not see it but I grew up in an abusive home and the ways in which he talks to Robert are manipulative and controlling.

So Kev knows who Vic and Harry are but he doesn't seem to know about Aaron. I'm still wondering if any of this played a role in why Robert pushed Aaron away before to protect him.

I wonder how Gabby and Vinny are going to handle things when the truth of all their secrets comes out especially if Vinny has adopted Thomas by then.

I can't help but wonder if Kev didn't orchestrate whatever was happening to Robert in prison and then pretended to rush in and save him so he could manipulate Robert into doing whatever he wanted.

I saw this scene with Vic and Robert the other day but I still hate it just as much. The scenes with Kev and Robert clearly come off as there being a power imbalance with them. With Kev being the one in charge. And given the story Robert told about his time in jail even if Kev didn't orchestrate the beatings he was getting Robert likely felt as though he had no alternative but to go along with whatever Kev wanted. It's pretty fcked up for the show to say he's prostituting himself when he's still dealing with the trauma of having been in jail for years. Not to even get into the fact that Robert was sexually assaulted by Rebecca and not only was it never addressed they had Aaron saying "don't tell me you couldn't have stopped it if you wanted".
