I wasn't a fan of how some of that scene was handled. The show has made it clear that Robron is "inevitable" and important since Rob came back and yet it didn't feel like it in that scene. It would have been so much more soapy romantic if John had grabbed hold of Aaron and threatened to jump and we at least got some kind of "last look" between Robert and Aaron.
Also I know that Aaron was playing John trying to tell him what he thought he needed to hear mainly so he would tell him where Mack is but I feel like that whole bit was stretched on for too long especially with how Aaron kept saying how Robert didn't mean anything and how he kept telling him to leave. At a certain point we should have gotten Aaron looking scared and looking at Robert. The scene was really lacking in the emotional connection a scene like that should have had between Robron. Something like SSW 2016 had.
It would have been so much more dramatic to have Robert not show up (at John's house) until the end of episode. To not know when he was gonna get there instead of knowing he was already on the property.
It also sucked to see him have to stand there and listen again as Aaron said that he (Robert) doesn't mean anything to him. And I know that's not true and I know that Aaron was trying to tell John what he needed to hear so that John would tell him where Mack is but it still sucked to watch.
I've also seen people say that they think Aaron might be mad at Rob at the end of all of this. For him showing up and effectively making things worse and I really hope that's not the case. Robert was the only one who tried to call out what a psycho John is and the only one who knew Aaron was in danger being with him. I hate that we have to watch people blaming Rob for what happened and it will be even worse if Aaron does too. Cause I think Robert is going to blame himself more than all of them.
I'm really not looking forward to seeing Robert get blamed for what goes down. I hate having to see him go through more pain. He's so going to blame himself when Aaron gets hurt. π I really need the day they all realize what a psycho scumbag John is to come fast. I also need to see a lot of people in that village apologize to Robert (although I know it will never happen). But he's always and forever treated like the bad seed despite how much he's done for people especially Aaron.
I don't know why everyone keeps complaining about the new music choices in Emmerdale I like it. Despite some of my issues with how the end of today's ep was handled (like the Robron stuff) I've liked a lot of the recent eps a lot.
